The long wait for Johnnie football to return is finally only a mere 4 hours away! I read in an article that both of our potential starting QBs are lefties! Not only will it take some getting used to a QB not named Syverson, but will take some adjusting to watching a leftie! Go Johnnies!

SJU football fans haven't seen a LH QB as a starter for at least 40 years, maybe longer......

I thought they both looked great. Wonder if there'd be a competition if Cooper Drews was still at St John's - Not a bad problem to have having two capable QBs it appears with Dittbenner and Feeney

Quote from: OzJohnnie on September 12, 2025, 09:10:17 PMThe Hawks demolished the Crows over in Adelaide, taking a leaf out of duffman's Road Warrior handbook.  They put on a master class for high-pressure, every-player-contributing in a complete game effort football.

Now we're about to enjoy another chapter in the greatest rivalry in Australian sport when the Hawks play Geelong at the MCG on Friday night in the Preliminary Final, the winner earning a run in the Grand Final.  The whole Oz family will be going and we can't wait (a huge benefit of being a Melbourne Cricket Club member - or we'll be trying.  I'll hit that Ticketek website the second seats in the Member's go on sale).

Not Essendon/Collingwood? Either way, good luck to the Hawks.

Royals certainly gave Drews plenty of game time. He threw 53 times and first teamers played fairly deep in fourth.

Lots of points left on the field. Could have scored 60+ but three drives ended in FGs. The WRs obviously needed some more playing time, especially since we lost one on the first drive which loooked like a shoulder/collarbone injury. He went to the lockers and didn't get back in the game.

Quote from: art76 on September 11, 2025, 03:48:31 PMI hope to be able to get to the BU/UNWSP game, though I may be tardy. If all goes as planned, I will end the day having achieved my NAR L3 Certification, which is the highest a person can get. I'll be up on the sod farms in North Branch most of the day getting in two flights, a shake down flight to @9000 feet, and then the certification attempt going to @11000 feet. I'll let everyone here know how it goes.

I never made it to the game as I had to spend time in the workshop/garage last night to resolve some fitment issues with my rocket. Went back out to the field this morning and got 'er done! I am now NAR Level 3 Certified. Once I get all the data points gathered I'll share some tidbits.
