That was the season that the combined basketball programs were undefeated until 5 Jan; may have led the nation in length of time going unbeaten from season start.

Remarkable victory for the Royals @ Susquehanna 75-65, despite allowing 28 offensive rebounds. Susque made their 1st 3-pt attempt, them missed their last 19 such attempts. Sammy Tornabene in foul trouble most of the game although he managed to escape fouling out. Hamilton Roth filled in well in a reserve role.
Will be a 3-way tie for 1st if Drew beats Catholic tomorrow.

Have to start thinking this is a pretty good team. Going to be exciting rest of way. Take care of game Wednesday, and next Sat should be a fun one. Hope they can get some student section help.

I really want to buy into this Royal happiness stock because I'd be purchasing at rock bottom & the chance might be there to pull the next Amazon or Nvidia.
However.....I just don't see this as a sustainable, long term winning product.
Even back in 2018 when they had their last 12 game winning streak, they still never made it out of the Landmark playoffs.
I wish the kids well as they play hard, hustle & are really doing everything they can to win the day.
But, when you give up more offensive rebounds to the opposition than your total amount of rebounds...you're playing with more luck than skill.
Thank heavens this is one of Frank's most inept squads.
The guys are taking care of the things they can control & so far it's paying dividends.
Just not convinced this is a team that can challenge the top shelf of programs in crunch time.
That said, if the Royals can make it through the season & position themselves well in the Landmark tournament & win a few games, then they have every chance of making it to the dance.
After that...roll the dice.
