Some how, some way the Coaches Poll had SVU receiving votes in this weeks Top 25. Wow.

I thought NCW would be a good team early on but that goose egg they had against Sewanee has me thinking otherwise. Going to be exciting over the next 3 or so weeks to see how both conferences begin to shake out.

There's a reason we started a Top 25. The coaches' poll doesn't have as good a handle on strength of schedule.

That's an understatement.

I'd say they finish 5-5, maybe 6-4.

Several surprisingly close games today in the conference. It may be more wide open than I thought. Probably the closest the conference has been top to bottom.

I agree with you, '88.  Seems like 4 teams have shot this year. Huntingdon, Belhaven, Brevard and LaGrange.

Very interested in the LaGrange/Brevard game this Saturday.  LaGrange is giving 2012-2013 Maryville vibes with Wes Dodson at the helm. I know several buddies that went to HSC were sad to see him go as DC.

Hey, Im a current college student and former d3 football player (I quit the team my sophomore year to focus on other things). Whenever I was at my schools football games I'd wonder how we match up vs the team we are playing. I made a website called d3lines.com that gives every d3 team a spread vs their opponents. You obviously cant bet on it and it's just for entertainment purposes but I thought I'd share incase anyone else found it interesting. Lines are a good general ballpark but not the sharpest things in the world

Disappointing loss in Montgomery today. Hawks were down 21-7 in the 4th but fought their way back and scored with just under two minutes left to make it 21-20 and missed the extra point. We didn't get the onside kick and with only one time-out left didn't get the ball back until 8 seconds were left and couldn't do anything on the final play.

Have to keep learning and improving and work on getting ready to go to LaGrange next.

Go Hawks!

Belhaven at LaGrange for the conference title this Saturday.

We needed one of those two to lose this past week in order to keep our slim hopes alive for a three or four-way tie at 5-2 but with both still undefeated in conference, there's no way winner this week can get to two losses.
