Fletcher Bigham to Coastal Carolina - that's (at least) the 15th D3 to D1 transfer.

Edit - oh and another one, Southwestern's Aedan Lewis transfers to D1 South Alabama.  So make it 16!

Not sure if mentioned, but Roman Richards from UW-Eau Claire is staying put

I'm always curious about NESCAC players who have eligibility left but can't use it at their current school as they don't have graduate programs.

After a little internet dive, I found out that Williams' Alex Lee is/was looking for a post-grad year somewhere. He visited Johns Hopkins during the winter season. Would be great to see him play one more year after his senior season was ended due to injury. A shame. Well on his way to becoming a 1,000 point scorer for Williams.

For Jackson Cormier, I haven't seen any update regarding if he is thinking of heading somewhere.

I've asked this before, but I don't remember what the answer was or if it was definitive...

What's stopping a student from coming back for another year and just earning another undergraduate degree? I mean, if I go to school for a business administration degree, why can't I come back for another year and add a marketing degree or minor in marketing? Sure, there aren't graduate programs at "School A" but there's got to be other degrees I can obtain, right?

I vaguely remember a story on a Whitewater graduate who went to the school for about 10 years and earned 6 degrees, or something like that.

I've heard Alex Lee is headed to Carnegie Mellon for a grad year, but have not seen any confirmation of that.  His fluke injury, as clearly the best and the only very experienced ball-handling guard for the Ephs, really was brutal for him and the team this year and I expect him to make a big impact for any D3 team.

I've not heard that Cormier is seeking a fifth year elsewhere, but I have no insight either way.

NESCAC schools do not offer an option to any student to earn a second degree.  Players who end up playing a fifth year due to injury in any sport (and it happens routinely) end up taking a semester or an entire year off to accommodate that.

That last paragraph seems odd. You aren't allowed a 2nd degree, but if you play a 5th year, you have to sit out a year of school? Ok...

Not sure why it's odd - the NESCAC model is liberal arts schools, that's why they are grouped together in a conference.  The only degree that give out (for the most part) is a B.A., so there is no second degree available to even give.  But there are plenty of people at all these schools who end up taking 5 (or even occasionally six) years to finish, having to take time off from school for one reason or another.  They just don't take classes when they are taking a semester or a year off.  It's no different for athletes.

You sit out the year or semester to preserve a year or semester of eligibility. It's not unusual.

Looks like Quentin Pridgen was heading back to Clark until HC Tyler Simms left for Bucknell. He has re-entered the portal
