There have been several posts on the ODAC men's board about the combined non-conference record of all 12 men's teams, which is quite good. I just did a calculation of the same thing for the 12 ODAC women's teams and. if I added it up correctly, they are a combined 50-18, which is better than the men.

^^^ Thanks. It's likely that a number of the games played by some teams were against non-D3 schools. I didn't look at each school's individual schedule. Still, 44-14 is pretty good.

oh good clarification, I only count games against D3 opponents. But you totally could count other games too.

Yesterday Roanoke gave up a 17-point halftime lead and lost by one point, (80-79) to Catholic. Today they got outscored by 18 points in the 4th quarter against Principia (a small school in Elsah, IL). Luckily for Roanoke they entered the frame leading by 21, so they held on for a 3-point win, 79-76. Looks like the Maroons have trouble finishing games.

In the same tournament, at Catholic U. in D.C., Randolph-Macon gets two wins -- 62-44 over Principia and 68-57 over Catholic. RMC sophomore Erin Porter had a huge game today vs Catholic with 28 points, making 9 of 16 field goals (including 6 of 12 from beyond the arc) and 4 of 4 from the free throw line.

Shout out to the announcer who was exceptionally well prepared, even noting that Porter's six made three-pointers was one off the single game record for RMC, set a decade ago by Hannah Livermon.

Not much has been said all year about W&L on this board, which is too bad.

So, I would like to say congratulations for a great season!  What a great team and what a great run, finishing 31-1 with your only loss coming to the team taking home the Walnut and Bronze trophy. What a feat.

Not only that, but your senior Mary Schleusner took home D3 Hoops First Team All-American honors as well as Player of the Year along with earning a long list of other NCAA and ODAC accolades and setting many new conference and national records.  She is certainly the most decorated ODAC player (man or woman) since R-MC's Megan Silva who played back in 2002-2006.

Thank you for representing your school and the ODAC so well and thank you for giving us some exceptional basketball to follow.

Got to see Mary play in the 1st quarter of the all-star game yesterday. The player(Jordan Holmes) whose career rebounding record that Mary broke was also there as a Denison former player/fan. In talking with Jordan yesterday, I suggested that congratulating Mary on the feat might be in order; don't know if she found the opportunity.
I remember Megan Silva well as I was present also when she(Randy Mac) defeated Scranton in the 2005 national semi before losing in the champ to Millikan.
