#21 UW-Platteville travelled to the Kolf Sports Center tonight and pulled off the upset over #3 UW-Oshkosh, 47-43, in WIAC play.

It was a single digit game throughout.   Oshkosh never built a lead larger than 7 points, and that 7 point lead was early in the fourth quarter.    Platteville's final margin of victory was also their largest lead of the game.    It was a defensive clinic with neither team able to switch tempo to try to confuse the other team. 

First game back at Oshkosh with the students in session, and the gym seemed mostly quiet like a library late on for what was a great game between two teams that are very likely to be in the NCAA DIII women's basketball tournament this year. 

Ella Mackiewicz had a game high 14 points to lead UW-Platteville.   Paige Seckar led UW-Oshkosh with 11 points.

 Watched the final 3 mins. Platteville side-inbounding w 7 secs and 2-pt lead - player comes completely free(nobody around her) in the lane; chooses to shoot the open layup instead of dribbling out the clock; now there's still 5 secs left on clock. They don't realize that the clock is the opponent in the finals secs, not the other team.
