UPSET ALERT:  Whitewater loses to Buffalo State at Perkins
Has to be the biggest upset I have watched in D3....  Gutsy effort from the Bengals today!  Congrats!.  I hope the UWW posters give them credit... this was not a fluke or luck.   BSU missed 3 field goals, fumbled on 1st and goal at the UWW 8..... and still won on a 75 yard drive with 1:35 seconds left.
Why should you go for it on 4th down?

You see that?  Everybody can be beaten.  If that doesn't get you fired up about what is possible, nothing will.

Boom:

"Pat's take: Buffalo State. The Empire 8 coaches' poll snubbed the Bengals and despite my best efforts, I think Kickoff did too. I agree with what Ryan said above, about the Empire 8 being among the toughest conferences in Division III football, but Buffalo State will be able to hold its own. Whether that translates into a win against Cortland State remains to be seen but the Bengals should be on your radar, for sure."

Well, now I wonder how good Brockport State is? My Top 25 just got a whole lot harder to fill out.

I don't like playing the transitive score game, but Brockport beat Buffalo State 38-24 last week. Of course, last year Brockport was 3-7.

Now, of course, Buffalo State may have just made the Warhawks mad.

Kind of like when Mount Union lost to ONU in 2005. They didn't lose again until the Stagg Bowl in 2007.

The man knows his history ... they were flat before that loss.  +k

I found Cal Lutheran's video feed but it's not really a feed of quality and distinction. Linfield is winning 17-10. Not thinking Wabash could move up in the Top 5 except if Linfield loses. I don't know how the voters will penalize Wesley or UW-W.

I would be seriously surprised if UWW drops below 2.

I don't expect Wesley to get punished much at all.  They'll move below UMHB, obviously, maybe Linfield pending that result.  Whitewater should probably get hammered, but my guess is that they'll go down to somewhere just above or just below Salisbury and stay in front of everybody else.  I think Wabash will probably stay about where they are.  It'll be an interesting poll tomorrow for sure.

Maybe, but it was a home loss against a team that traveled a long way and lost the week before. On paper, UW-W had all of the factors in their favor. Perhaps Pat Coleman's faith in them propelled Buffalo State.

I'm thinking the UMHB win over Wesley puts them into the #2 slot over UW-W. That's how I'm going to cast my Fan Poll ballot (of course, thinking that Mt. Union takes care of its business.)

UMHB as #1 is an extremely valid vote.  Aside from Buffalo State, the Crusaders have the best result in D3 so far this year.

Smed, glad you are voting and I am not.  Was having problems setting spreads AND voting Top25 last year.
