I would suspect it will be Wes or Kody taking the first one to the house.

;)

Why should you go for it on 4th down?

I'm liking a methodical opening drive to the season...capped with Mambourg ramming it in from the 2-yard line.  I'd be thrilled to see that play out and have the offensive line establish some short yardage success right off the bat (an area that the LGs have struggled in a little the last couple of seasons).

The only appropriate opening this season is for Wes to take the opening kickoff back for the score. Followed by a James Pannell kick off bashing, and then CJ Gum enduced pain on the opening play for the defense.   Anything less is settling for mediocrity.

I think Robert Flagg might be the 1st to score on the new turf! That would be GREAT

wabco

Now ... that would be a Flag of the wrong color.

And speaking of seeing Red ... the turf should be in ... any report on its installation and look?

Wabco,

Maybe on a reverse. A casual scan of last year's roster reveals only two returning QBs for Wooster (a rising soph and junior), neither of whom saw any game experience last year. Two QBs seems awfully thin, especially in a D3 program. What's the deal?

BashDad-

Look for either a transferring junior starter, or a frosh QB from Florida to be starting for the Scots. From what I've heard the freshman was highly recruited and fits the system. Especially because Wooster appears to be in a rebuild mode after last year's flop, I wouldn't be surprised to see a freshman back there.

"Might" is an operative word - wanna put a half pound slab of Shisler's smoked swiss  :D and one of Troyer's fried bologna sandwiches (from Trail General Store only) on your prediction?   ;D

I hope Wabash has as much success as Olivet did on its first-ever game on its new artificial surface in 2004. The NCAC folks should remember that one -- The Comets beat Ohio Wesleyan 78-21 and rushed for an NCAA record 670 yards!!

Do you have names or do we have to wait until the season preview?

75 bucks

Who is the surprise team to not win it but really improve?
Kenyon - Hiram - Oberlin - Denny - OWU

My money is on Denny or Hiram

The last super highly touted freshman QB at Wooster was the next John Elway according to Mike Schmitz.  The new kid is from Florida...could we be seeing the next Timothy Richard Tebow charging down that hill this fall?   :)
