Quote from: Crawford on September 07, 2025, 10:04:14 AMVisually John Carrol's team looks a lot bigger and better athletes than your typical NCAC team.  Welcome to the league!
I'm excited to see the DPU/JCU game. It will no doubt be for the tournament bid this year.

Quote from: CollegeGolf18 on September 06, 2025, 03:55:28 PM35-14 early in the 3rd quarter and Wabash has already put in the backup (Gilbert) not sure I agree with that quite this early.
Especially when you go 3-and-out from the 50-yard line.

This felt like something that was planned to happen or maybe Campbell needed a series off for one reason or another- I'm speculating that a series for Gilbert while the game was still competitive was in the script.

Fun fact - last time Ohio State football lost to an in-state team was in 1921 - to Oberlin!  Programs have gone a slightly different direction since then.

I'm not sure if the Ohio State Police count, but I seem to remember Ohio State football losing plenty to them over the years.
A fan of good football - wherever it may be found.

JCU down 14-3 at JHU early 2nd.  That's a nice test heading into NCAC play.

Anyone know what's going on with the Wabash game feed? No live stats, video went from saying it would start at 1 PM to 1:15 and now it's saying 2:15. Is the game delayed?

NWS An area of showers and storms will quickly move southward through Central IN through early afternoon. A few storms may be strong with gusty winds, heavy rain, and lightning. Greatest chance for rain is along and north of I-70, with lesser chances further south. #inwx

Looked at a weather radar and it showed a big line of thunderstorms just about to move east of Crawfordsville.

If you did house cleaning, it's probably looking sweet. 🤣

Is the game still delayed or called?

Today I attended the Wisconsin - Eau Claire - Kenyon game. The game was a blowout as I expected although Kenyon did play tough for a half. I have a question about NCAA football in general that came out of this game. Kenyon blocked 4 Eau Claire placekicks, 3 extra points and one field goal attempt (field goal attempt ran back for only Kenyon score). Does anyone know if there is a record for most placekicks blocked in one game no matter what division it is in?

Whitecarrera

1988 - Benedictine (IL) (at that time it was Illinois Benedictine) blocked four kicks twice.

And I'm glad to see Wabash win, but I'll go on record saying that a game should NEVER be moved to a HS field. No basketball coach would consent to a HS 3Pt arc. No Volleyball coach would consent to a shorter net. No baseball coach would consent to a 75 ft base path. It wasn't the right decision when Wabash did it to Wittenberg in 2000, and it wasn't right today.

I can feel for CWU not wanting to risk two incomplete games, but Wabash has to do better. Get lights, or just accept the risk, but moving a game to a non-conforming field is unacceptable - should never even be considered an option.
It's either a thoughtful comment or smartass sarcasm. Recognize the difference.
