This is great news. The last time I visited Crawfordsville the football offices were upstairs and the interior of the building was old and decrepit looking. As a prospective student visiting I would have had no confidence in Wabash. So I'm glad to hear of the improvements.

What is happening to former Wabash coaches? Max Urick who was coach from 1967-70 with a record of 11-22-2 has passed.

Former DePauw WR Jamarcus Shephard '04 (and he was an exceptional player) has been named head coach for Oregon State. He comes over from Alabama where he was assistant coach, co-offensive coordinator and WR coach.

Two unbelievable stats from JCU game...QB 31 of 33 in that weather and 2,743 attendance per box score. Not buying the latter after seeing shots of the stands

There are going to be bangers dang near every week. Plus it looks like the league is going to have everyone on bye the same week- everyone plays the one non-league plus 4 conference games, off the week of 10/10, then the back five. Glorious.

The NCAC is going to look completely indistinguishable from 20 years ago which is obviously a big improvement. It is going to be odd to no longer think in terms of the W powers (Wooster, Witt, and Wabash) and that be it, but very, very welcome. Iron sharpens iron!

100%. Greg and Pat discussed this as much last week on the podcast. DePauw was prepared for "WIAC" style play and size, with the addition of JCU to the NCAC. And as for JCU, it for sure helped having Wabash and DePauw prepare the team, and that result was evident against Randolph Macon.

I cannot wait to see what the NCAC does in the next 5 years, and would not be surprised to see the conference become one of the "Top 5" across the division.
