Wow! Getting called out after like 5 posts? I'm still here but not much to say after an ugly if expected 0-3 start. Doubt it will be much better with UST coming to town. That tricky transitive property says SMU losses tonight by 66...yikes!

Speaking of defense...SMU has allowed 270 points in 3 games. Could be two in triple digits when Bethel comes to town!

What happened to that Fogt guy?

SUMMIT!!!!!

Drake,

Thanks for the analysis. I don't have any idea why Jeff Reck was not dressed for the game. He was on the bench with the kids watching the game and giving his support.

Hey - I think you were there, what are your thoughts?  Or if you prefer to remain a publicly, impartial observer, I understand.  :)

Reck incurred a concussion during practice earlier and was not suited (cmon DP, you should be on top of things   :) )

Cetainly not calling you or anyone else out in a negative way.  Keep posting was all I was trying to say!  You'll be one of the first posters to actually get a firsthand look at the D2 giant slayers & see how Will Wright, Cormier, Holland, Sweeney & others stack up against one of the league perennial powers.

Sum...as much as I loved the Schafer's and the success that came with their improvement, I think the J's will be different this year...Brady and Schwartz look like they can get it to the hole, more driving more slashing and more pressure on the defense, I think the J's will be more uptempo this year...your thoughts?

I happen to like what I'm reading about this year's version of the Johnnies.  If Brink, Schwartz & other are attacking the glass for layups, dropping dimes & then taking the J, I'm all for it.  But if they're never getting the ball inside & using talented inside presence as a door stop -- what terrible waste of talent.

Even over at UST it sounds like Coach Fritz is adjusting to his talent & his team has become more of a perimeter, slashing style of offense.  Yet, the Tommies haven't forgotten about playing good, solid hard-nosed defense. If Joe Scott & Teddy Archer are playing defense anything like they did at DeLaSalle HS under Coach Dave Thorson, they're bringing some real intensity on the defensive end.  You add in BJ. Viau & Lonnie Robinson & you've got the makings of an All MIAC Defensive team.

My sources are starting to dry up, if not dried up. No thanks to the few sources I have left.   :-*

If D3Bo can dream so can I (I Iike it by the way).

If Coach Whitmore can conjure up a little full court pressure like he did at Brockport, the Oles could be vulnerable. Aside from Banick, they don't seem to have any strong ball handlers.  I saw the Oles lose to CSTP & Buena Vista when those teams applied a press.   Might we be primed for a small upset in the Pipes first home game under the new head coach?

Lets' see who's dream is closer to reality - D3BO or mine.

Good luck, stay safe & a good season everyone!

Yeah, I'd say that 200+ total points is a strong possiblity if bu doesn't pick up the d.  It's puzzling to me as to why they're struggling.  Obviously losing strom who was an excellent shut down type guy hurts, but they have alot of guys back that were on a decent defensive team last year.  Apparently they're trying to go phoenix suns on the miac...good luck with that.

No webcast at GAC is a freaking disgrace.  Put some money in your athletics budget.  Top team in the mIAC and you can't afford a damn webcast.
