The WIAC is in position to put four teams in the NCAA D3 Playoffs, as everyone that needed to win today did their part:

River Falls defeated Stout 29-19

Platteville takes care of Eau Claire 55-28. Eau Claire was down 28-21 with about 3 minutes left in the 1st half. After that it was all Platteville. Nate Uselding was 20 of 26 for 300 yards. Zach Bothun rushed for 71 yards to lead Platteville. Now its wait for the selection show tomorrow.

But it will be a "stress free" wait at least. It's just a matter of waiting to see who they play, not worrying about if the Pioneers made it.

BDB--Sorry I missed your post and did not see you and Stout Guy. Stout made things really tough on the Falcons.
WORLD'S OLDEST FALCON FAN.

MESSAGE TO RECRUITS:  IN DOUBT? ENROLL AT STOUT. DON'T CARE? GO TO EAU CLAIRE. AT A LOSS? TRY LACROSSE. FEELIN' OUTTA JOINT? YOUR PLACE IS POINT. DON'T LIKE THE REST? DO WHAT'S BEST!

GOT BALLS? PLAY FOR THE FALLS!

NCC2010--Maloney is a freshman and primarily a passer. And he's comparable to Blaha? Tough to believe. And unless I missed something, MU has one sophomore qb and all the rest are freshmen. Also tough to believe.

Never said he was comparable to Blaha. I said I think they are the best two QBs in the nation this season. Will not be shocked at all if Blaha is first team All-American and Maloney is second team.

River Falls, Whitewater and Platteville all earn home games in their first Postseason game, while La Crosse will head to Alma.

All four WIAC teams earned first round "byes" with Platteville and La Crosse being placed in North Central Bracket, and River Falls and Whitewater put in the Wartburg Bracket.

Not only is UWW, but they get a  favorable home game. Didn't see that coming.

Not saying at all they're win, but the committee did them a huge favor.

Not sure I would consider DePauw a favorable home game. They are much better than usual this year. Took JCU to the wire. They have an explosive offense and a top 10 run defense. I think UWP got a better draw than UWW.

Don't know much about Alma except they lost to River Falls 45-33 to open the season. The winner will play either Bethel, Coe or Concordia in the 3rd round.
