Y'all may want to think about having a small amount of compassion for your neighbors across the river who have armed people in their streets. This is our life and to hear it dismissed as "whacky politics" is a little insensitive.

I can be both compassionate and realistic. Actions have consequences- and this particular set of events surely started as the result of whacky politics.

I actually suspect that MANY people will agree that it started as the result of whacky politics -- but they won't agree as to which politicians are the whacky ones.

Nonetheless, it disrupts the lives of many people in the adjacent state and it's nice to see people take a stand for what they believe in.
