98% Freshman. Elite. in a tough conference. DI no doubt.

He's not moving to D2.  That would be a lateral move.  He could try for an Eastern Illinois, but what do you really gain?.  It would be interesting if a team like NIU would be interested.  They could give him some NIL money and it's close enough to Milwaukee for his family to watch.  And no, he's not the best player in the conference.

This post really hits most of the factors involved in the portal. Not just for Tommy, but for any WIAC player. And I agree, Tommy is off to a great start, but it is EXTREMELY premature to designate him the best player in the conference. Best running back perhaps. But I look forward to seeing Paxton Rothmeier.
Of all the good running backs UWW has had, I do feel Tommy reminds me most of Coppage. His lateral quickness and ability to make guys miss in the second level stick out most to me. He's small though and would take a pounding.
He may make an excellent slot type guy though- a couple games back he made a great catch in end zone- turning his body from inside shoulder to outside shoulder. Those are receiver skills.

I came across an article in Reuters.com. There is a lawsuit against the NCAA from current and former D3 athletes. They are seeking to. Allow D3 schools to offer scholarships.

Novotny is electric for sure, but his size is definitely a limiting factor when considering transferring up.

Maybe he stays and tries to overtake some of the record books.

Quote from: bleedpurple on October 23, 2026, 10:02:26 PMI had heard this game was "close" back in August but didn't feel free to discuss because I never confirmed that it was final. But since it is being posted on a Mount Union website, it looks like it's locked in. UW-W will be traveling to Alliance to take on Mount Union week 2 next year.

Wow 😲
What a treat!

Now if they can schedule Wash U in St. Louis some year and maybe just maybe catch a Brewers at Cardinals game.  That would be perfect.

But I thought you said that Jace was afraid and wouldn't play anyone?

At that point, I had to exercise self-control, not to mention the pending Mount Union game. Andrew has been a pretty vociferous critic of Jace, but to his credit, he has toned down his rhetoric lately.

Probably has to do with them squeaking out a max of three whole wins this year. (I'm giving them UWSP).
