League rule going forward is no Friday night games, I read during the offseason.

One squeaky wheel is still there, the other isn't.  We are the only school in the conference that runs their home cross country meets close to the athletic complex on campus.

The non Friday night games start next year but if they schedule a Warhawk home game on the third Saturday in October they would have to find an alternate field to play on.

The WIAC non-Friday game rule is very problematic for UW-W. If I know the WIAC, I'm guessing they are not going to accommodate us on the third Saturday in October.

Any news on the return of Brooks? I'm looking forward to watching him play.
I'm very impressed w Roeder. He is aggressive, shakes off a bad play and runs effective routes.

Not that this is enough data to establish an ongoing approach; two of the weakest non-conference schedules belong to UWW and UWP- both are undefeated. UWL with the toughest has four losses and UWO has five losses.

RF has the toughest schedule: Every contender on the road. EC, Point, Stout, Oshkosh at home. Oshkosh was considered a contender pre-season. MAYBE Lax has as tough a schedule, but it's arguable. Then throw in Wartburg and Coe, two ranked teams and you have a very difficult Falcon schedule.

MESSAGE TO RECRUITS:  IN DOUBT? ENROLL AT STOUT. DON'T CARE? GO TO EAU CLAIRE. AT A LOSS? TRY LACROSSE. FEELIN' OUTTA JOINT? YOUR PLACE IS POINT. DON'T LIKE THE REST? DO WHAT'S BEST!

I get your point regarding home or away- I don't put as much credence in it as you.
As for non conference schedule- imo UWL clearly played the toughest. Their two tough non cons are undefeated.
The main point though is did the non conference schedule put them in better position for the conference schedule.

Don't think we have to worry about Rf. Halfback throw out of end zone for an interception and td in next play. Good run for UWRF but don't look prepared and don't have the players

Just cuz you're behind 24 - 7 at half, does not mean you
re out of it. Final:  35 - 30 RF.

'95 Blugold

Blugolds ground game paced by Paxon Rothmeier's 301 yards on 45 carries takes down La Crosse at home today in their annual Military Appreciation game 27-10. Blugolds got out to an early 7-0 lead but the Eagles tied it up with a bit over 8 minutes left in the first quarter and the Eau Claire defense kept La Crosse out of the endzone the rest of the way. Unlike last week where the Blugolds were giving the ball away in the 2nd half, the Blugold defense forced 3 turnovers in the second half and the offense did enough to extend their 20-10 half time lead with another TD in the 4th to make the final 27-10. First victory over La Crosse since 2016.

Next week on the road against UW-Stout who's passing game his given the Blugolds major problems the past few years. We'll see how it goes. If they beat Stout, they will have an outside shot at the Isthmus Bowl, which would be pretty cool I think.

Congratulations 95 Blubold. This has been a great season already.
You give your excellent running back the ball 45 times you don't have to worry about the turnovers.

UWW takes it to UWO in the second half. The first half was dominated by the one-man wrecking crew Ashiru. I think it took a toll on him as his second half didn't seem as effective.
Klinkner making some nice throws tonight. Would have had two more passing TD's to his credit but UWW had some butterfingers on Halloween night.

He didn't look even remotely close to the same after the roughing the passer penalty that knocked him out of the game..
