02 Warhawk

Sticking it to UW0 will always be a guilty pleasure of mine. Never gets old.

What a dominate second half.

Next week will be a struggle. Toughest game of the year.

The Third Division

Is it safe to say Oshkosh should move on from Jennings and admit this is not the man to take them back to ANY playoff run? the closest they game to doing so was in 2024 off a missed field goal.

He's recruited the entire squad beginning last year and this year is currently tied for last in the WIAC.

Something needs to change.

Klinkner making some nice throws tonight. Would have had two more passing TD's to his credit but UWW had some butterfingers on Halloween night.
He didn't look even remotely close to the same after the roughing the passer penalty that knocked him out of the game..

I'm glad somebody brought this up. If   Uselding is successful early in next week's game, he'll have to watch out.

They had 60 new players on the team this year.  This isn't the NFL, you don't have OTA's and preseason games.  They had 3 weeks before they played Linfield at home.  It takes time for teams to come together.  He should definitely get another year and be judged by what this team does after Spring camp and a full year together.

Congrats to the Blugolds for their dominant win over La Crosse. You have made great progress.

Right. The penalty call was horrible. The running back cut blocked our rusher and he rolled into the QB. When you hit the QB as the result of being blocked into him, that is not even a penalty. Not sure what you are insinuating, but you are way off base.

I wasn't insinuating anything... I was just saying his play wasn't remotely close to the level he was playing at before that play. You disagree?

Anyway, it happens in high school, college, and the NFL all the time. A QB gets hit and now they speed things up and instead of playing relaxed. Timing gets thrown off and the offense bogs down.

Unless Cerroni (or someone of his ilk) comes back, UWO football will continue to be the "also-ran" it has been pre-Cerroni and post-Cerroni... There might be the occasional competitive year, but more often than not it will entail a mid-tier to bottom half WIAC finish.

Great hire Darryl! 🗑

Agreed, Andrew B. Far too early to get on the anti-Jennings bandwagon.

Especially if you are pulling for a team in the WIAC that isn't UWO! 😁

The longer Jennings sticks around at UWO the better it is for everyone else in the WIAC!

Put it this way, there's a reason some of the most ardent Warhawk backers weren't disappointed when he left Whitewater to take the UWO job... That should tell you something!?!?

Well his last year with whitewater was the last time we had an all-american QB (2021)

Cubs, I wasn't responding to your post. I was responding to AndrewB's saying that "if Uselding is successful early in next week's game, he'll have to watch out.". Seems like he was implying it was a dirty play by UW-W and it wasn't.

Went back and watched the play on WIACNetwork.  Poorly filmed, it didn't show a lot but it appears the hit was quite late.  Penalty aside, was there any headhunting going on here?

No head hunting. Our corner was blitzing. He was untouched and coming full steam ahead. The running back chose to cut block him instead of taking him on standing up. He cut him and our corner went sprawling. He landed about a foot short of Ashiru and, unfortunately rolled up on his left leg. He was literally on his back when he made contact with Ashiru.
