A bit late, but I just wanted to thank Logan for all of the stats and info he provides here, on twitter, and on his website. I loved using the spreads for the pickems last year as I felt like it added a bit more nuance to the season. I don't quite understand why certain members of the D3 media feel so personally attacked by an algorithm, one that Logan has clearly worked very hard on I might add, that is a passion project from a guy who obviously loves the D3 game. Hopefully, bridges can be mended one day, but until then, I'm firmly in your corner Logan!

I'm assuming we're referring the feud with Frank the Tank. I'm team Logan all day, but I gotta say, I do love the drama. There are few people I've seen in sports media so easily riled up and so incapable of moving on from an argument as Frank. The perverse part of my soul loves watching it unfold. Keep poking the bear Logan ... fight the good fight ... win one for the Gipper ... yada yada  8-)

I just think it's the classic case of the old guard not liking change. Frank has done awesome things for D3 football for many years. Now, with social media, there are many more people (D1R podcast/Logan/Third Division/Dingo Talk podcast) who want to cover the sport, and they are all using different and unique perspectives. Pat and Frank (plenty of contention there as well) are more the old guard, classic journalist types (the first ones to do it and for that deserve an incredible amount of respect). That's great! The sport needs that type of reporting! Kobe and D1R are taking a more fun/entertaining approach to presenting their information. That's great too! Logan is a numbers guy, so he built a website based around a power rating algorithm. I love that too! The Third Division is looking for a lane to present the sport in short-form video, and he often has to walk back his humor because Frank told him to (honestly, I just wish he would let his takes/jokes fly and not worry about what others think about them). Hopefully, he sticks with it and keeps putting out content. I think we are just seeing a guy who is used to being one of the only voices who covered a sport now having to come to grips with the fact that multiple outlets are doing the same thing. I personally think that more perspectives are great and that each one should use their own unique background to showcase this sport in the best possible way.

That being said, as soon as you become a public figure (on twitter or in real life), you are opening yourself to criticism, and you better be ready to face it with some tough skin.

With fall camp about to start.  For the incoming senior classes, this is where they stand with one more season to make their mark.

Coach Finstock - "There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that and everything else is cream cheese."
