The Third Division

This also leads me to believe that UMHB is gonna continue playing whitewater until whitewater says no.

If they dropped back down to D3 they might be, but we need any opponent we can get from our own division. Being forced to play 3 non-division opponents kept us out of the playoffs last year, and we have to find even more non-conference opponents in 2026 now that we presumably aren't playing a round robin.

I'd love it if the arrogant, clueless fans of schools from regions that have plenty of neighboring programs to schedule could explain what their solution would be. Instead they just stand on their soapbox, looking down their noses and criticizing while failing to give any better suggestions.
^^^ all of this.

Keystone is making strides after they were told they were going to lose accreditation, were required to come up with teach out plans, and couldn't even do any kind of recruiting in 2024 into early 2025.  A lot of players left after that fall as a result.  They then were told at the end of February 2025 "never mind, we're not going to do that" and only had a few months to put together a team.  They added 41 freshmen in that time and played a JV schedule.  If they can keep most of those guys and recruit that well again for the upcoming season they should be on their way back to playing in the Landmark as a regular member the following season.  It takes a lot of balls to put a UMHB on the schedule for two years given that situation and I salute them for doing it ... payday or not.
