Well, probably 9 times out of 10, no.  However, you never know.  Look at Div. II Grand Valley State University beating Michigan State men's basketball team last night in basketball at a capacity crowd at MSU's Breslin Center; although that is basketball and a little different ;).  But...once again, look at Michigan's first game of the season.  Weird things can happen.

From what I saw of Akron last night, I'd take Mount and give 3 points. ;D
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

I knew I'd get a few responses from my last post.  I've been a Mount fan and football fan for over 40 years and I guess that with Mount's 9 titles that makes Mount, in my humble opinion, the best program in Ohio. As far as taking on DI schools and giving points...that would be crazy.

If you are wondering why a radio sportshost is even aware of D3 teams........hes a grad of an OAC school. Not that that would color his view any. ;)

I wouldn't mention which school either if it were the Berg.   ;)
OAC Champs: 1942 (one title ties us with Ohio State)
OAC Runners-Up: 2017, 2016, 2015, 2010, 2009, 2005, 2004, 2001, 2000, 1999, 1982, 1941 (Stupid Mount Union!)
MOL Champs: 1952, 1950

D O.C.

I'll take John Carroll and....56 points.
I win on a tie too, OK?

End of 1st Quarter...

Mount Union 26 points  and threatening to score

John Carroll  major negative yards offense

:)

First play of 2nd quarter, make that 33-0 Mount Union.

Mike Zimmerman just tied the record for consecutive extra points--101.

Thanks MUC-Raider.

A couple other scores of interest:

Otterbein 13-7 over BW with under 3 minutes to go in the 2nd.

ONU 7-0 over the Berg in the 2nd.

I may not have heard correctly as I'm in shell shock thanks to the Badgers, but I believe BW faked 2 straight punts successfully and went for a 3rd straight, but got flagged and ended up punting.

Dr. Acula

The Berg gets on the board with a 47 yarder.

7-3 ONU at half.

Good to see RJ Meadows with 13 carries in the first half.  Even better to see the Berg continue to play tough.

13-7 Otterbein over BW at half also.

At the half...

    Mount Union  43

    John Carroll     0

12:36 left in the 3rd Quarter

    Mount Union  50

    John Carroll     0

muc-raider

After 3 quarters:

    Mount Union   50 points

John Carroll    -15 yards total offense

Dr. Acula

BW now leads Otterbein 27-13.  A couple special teams miscues for the Cards have cost them in the 2nd half.

ONU 28-10 over the Berg in the 4th.

12:00  4th Quarter

    Mount Union  53

    John Carroll      0

Dr. Acula

In the 4th:

Capital 19
Musky 7

I'll mention that I heard this on the Otterbein radio broadcast so I can't vouch for the validity.  When it comes to anything Capital related you can never trust the Otters.   ;D
