I don't see Liebler on the current roster.  Did I miss something there?

This was news to me until yesterday when @D3fanboy pointed it out. I did some asking around and got nowhere. Very curious what is going on there.

I also did some social media sleuthing without finding anything. No obvious announcements of him going elsewhere.

with the Dartt experiment entering its 6th year and Mount not having raised the walnut and bronze since '17, is 2025 one of the most pivotal years in Mount Union football history?

there are no if ands or buts, Mount (Dartt) needs to win the big one and it's lining up pretty well...

- Dr. Luke Lehnen finally graduated

- there's no WIAC superpower any longer with everybody having 5th (6th) year seniors

- UMHB plays in an intramural league and none of their vaunted transfers stay in school past September

- even Geoff can handle the east coast "powers"

- homefield advantage in the Stagg @ Canton

if it doesn't happen this year, when will it happen for Dartt?

I just cannot understand why the Raiders would have 14 coaches and no OC. Dartt has proved that he cannot be both a HC and OC. Where is he AD on this? Despite North Central great team in 2024, the Raiders should have won the Stagg Bowl last year. Could they return this year, we'll see?

There are several questions this year, who will be the RB's, can they improve the secondary and many more?

They need Thomas too in the running backs room as well. Not sure where he is either.

I don't know if should have won the Stagg bowl, is correct, maybe could have won.  They played a great game and had some costly errors, but I'm not sure any one moment or one error is why they lost.  Anyway..

I think we'll know what kind of team we have right from the get go this year.  I'm excited to see who steps up this year and shows out. 

I'm anxious to see if the second place finished in the OAC can make the playoffs. 

We'll certainly have a younger offense this year, and some new faces on defense, but we've done it in the past. 

I'd like to see some better game/time management.  More efficiency and better execution.  At times there were flashes of greatness, other time some bad mistakes.  I think we clean those up, and keep everything else the same.

There are going to be a lot of new faces.  If my count is correct from the Stagg starters only seven are on the current roster.

Offense: Turner, Cooper, Kennedy and Fortner
Defense: Brown, Harris and Arthur

Looking at the seven guys on the roster listed as CB or DB none of them have played in a varsity game.  Given the secondary issues last year this is my biggest worry on paper for 2025.

With the QB's on the current roster I think we're all assuming Maloney is QB1 but beyond that I have no idea about any of the others.  Hopefully having the starting center and a couple starting WRs back helps Maloney be comfortable.

And Cockrell was first team All-CCIW last year also.  As usual, WR will be the least of their concerns.

At RB, Darnell Williams (Grad) is still on the Roster.  2nd Team OAC last year.  530 rushing yards and 760 KOR yards.

I think Maloney is the next starting QB.  Another interesting roster addition is QB Jason Grimes (Grad).

Why did he leave the Raiders? Competition for playing time? Other reasons?

I'm not sure, but Adrian is close to home for him so maybe that was a factor.

We will likely never know this, but I wonder if he was healthier as the playoffs went on but because DeShields was the hot hand, DeSields stayed in. All a guess though.

Maloney was/is very, very highly regarded as a Mount Union QB prospect

Noah B probably didn't want to be a backup, or fighting for his job as a 5th year senior.  Adrian got a couple of Mount upperclassmen transfers this year
