just a freshman

Mount might have been 2 for 2 in Dodge Rams if Pat McAfee was doing that promotion again this year.  No other D3 program can sniff what Mount has in terms of publicity/notoriety on a national stage.  LK built a monster

Yeah even the last JCU playoff game that wasn't during thanksgiving weekend only got about 4500

between the complacency of Mount fans, the ease of streaming, the younger generation sort of sucking, the new alumni association leaders, and the lack of a true "rival" Sadly, I think the days of "big" Mount attendance are in the past.

imo, the greatness of the Mount football program has been extremely taken for granted in the last 5-8 years by the powers that be.  Maybe we're in cost savings mode now as a small college university, but why not market the hell out of the main reason most people have heard of you? or why half of your freshman class is there?

Even though it was the most lopsided loss I've seen UW-W take in 60 years, the atmosphere in the 2015 semi's was incredible.

And that's saying a lot considering the huge crowds UWW plays in front of! I think UWW vs UWL broke 20k IIRC

No doubt! The atmosphere when we get on those huge crowd Saturdays is amazing! So much fun! But it's not all about the total number of people. When you pack out a smaller venue, it really does rival the big numbers. The Mount crowd behind our bunch was antagonizing, but in kind of a fun way. And for whatever reason, the crowd felt almost as loud as the huge crowds at the Perk!

It doesn't seem like it's less marketed than it used to be and UMU Football has been all over national news in recent years, Pat Mcafee show, alum winning the superbowl, the LK feature on ESPN about Sirianni etc.

and none of that has to do with the current admin.  The national media stuff will take care of itself with the football team winning 99% of its games after LK building the empire.  Retweets and facebook posts are great, but actually do something.  The dwindling student/alumni/local support has to do with the lack of marketing, etc
