If Brown has eligibility left this is bad news, obviously.  I'm with fanboy though, how does he still have another year?

Dr. Acula

I will remind everyone with FloSports subs that the hoops team plays at 1pm tomorrow at 8-0 Muskie.  I've watched every game so far.  These dudes play hard and defend.  Their best two players are a junior and a sophomore so they're setting up for a run.  If you're free watch them!  They deserve our attention.

I didn't think either of those guys had eligibility left. But if they do and are leaving I don't like how next year is setting up with two tough games to start the season.

At least we'll always have the '25 OAC championship  ::)

You don't/didn't go to Mount to win the OAC.

Are you new to this board?  ;D

Ha no but that was the mind set when I attended and seemed to be the mind set up till a few years ago.

I'll look at the positive. They are transferring because better players are there and ready to step up.

All honestly, I don't like the transfer portal, makes it way too easy to leave with no repercussions.

I think it might be a situation where they have no D3 eligibility left but they might have 1 year of D2 or D1 eligibility left. If you only actually competed for 3 years in D3 (like Turner and Brown did) I'm wondering if that year they were on the team but didn't play would count as a redshirt year if they transferred to a higher division.

This would make a lot of sense considering KB's comments in the post-game press conference, he seems like a MU die-hard and it wouldn't make any sense for him to leave if he still had another year at Mount available

I'll admit, I am lost when it comes to a lot of the eligibility stuff.  I know that Woj was the eligibility wizard back in the day at MUC.  I'm sure he's been replaced with someone very competent...

It would be very tough to see Kaleb Brown in another uniform if he had a year left.  He's everything that a Purple Raider should be.  The growth (physically and emotionally) that he made in his four years was tremendous and a testament to how hard of a worker KB is.  I'll always be a huge KB fan

This right here. Brown and Kennedy are guys that played extremely hard, at tough positions and made plays when needed. They might not always have been the one with the ball, but they paved the way and became better each season. I truly hope there is another story here as it relates to eligibility, as this would be a bad look. I'm interested to her hear if anyone finds out how they can have one year left after being on the team for 4 years..... The only thing I can think of is a redshirt year somehow and Mount didn't offer an academic program that they can pursue to remain eligible.

D3fanboy

pretty sure Kennedy is done, done.

There is no need to "enter the portal" to go D3 to D3, so these young men are looking to go up a division or two.  I'm not sure what is the worse look, dudes leaving with eligibility left or losing in the 2nd round with multiple guys getting D2/FCS offers

There's an issue in Alliance right now.
