then Berg needs to lose twice.  Saturday night is the first good opportunity for that. I would hope that Mount declines any bootleg "Bowl" game if we get to that point.

That would be a three way tie right, between Mount, Berg, and BW? And if the other coaches objectively voted, they would have to pick Mount right?  If they compared the non-conference play, Mount played better games even though they were 1-1.  Especially imagine if Wheaton beats North Central next week, and if Grove City wins out and wins the PAC.  Certainly better faring teams than what the Berg or the BW played.

But if they don't put much value toward that and just look at record or points scored or something like that then maybe the odds aren't so great, better run up the score against the common OAC opponents.

The other 6 OAC coaches vote.  if one team gets the majority, that's your AQ.  If we get a 3-3 tie, that other 3rd team is eliminated and that coach becomes the 7th vote.  The OAC re-votes and you should get at least a 4-3.

However, if the first vote goes 2-2-2...that is not in the OAC by-laws.  So who knows? The old OAC end-all tiebreaker was a coin-toss, but that was back in the 10 team era. 

In the NPI era, I would imagine that coaches would be told to use that metric to get the most OAC teams into the playoff.  If a couple of 9-1 teams were playoff locks via NPI, why not stick the 8-2 team into the dance as the AQ?  All three teams would claim an OAC Title


Three OAC teams in the playoffs would be best for the conference for sure. But I totally get why the little bros would want to pop big, old, bully Mount in the nose when they get the chance

Mount Union Blocked so many other OAC teams from having postseason opportunities for years. It's only been the past two seasons that the playoffs have expanded to capture more than three or four at large teams nationwide. So much work was put into giving the other OAC schools an opportunity for postseason play. I truly hope that Mount Union's arrogance would not keep them from accepting an opportunity to play at the Hall Of Fame against a high ranking school from the PAC or NCAC.

Wait...Mount Union "blocked so many other OAC teams from having postseason opportunities for years?" How so? By beating them at football? That's called competition. Or are you talking about something else? I'm so confused...
