Haven't been around much and wanted to let those of you who know Lyndsey and I know why. We are expecting our 1st child in late March/early April. We are super excited as you might imagine. Not sure the sex yet - we find out before Thanksgiving. If it's a girl, will definitely be hitting up HScoach and later on, RC, for advice..

We just got done with the first "everything is your fault, SaintsFAN" period, so I should be around more.
Hey, if it's a girl ask me anything-I have four daughters :) :)

Time Restraints.

He doesn't coach anymore because his kids were growing up and requiring more attention.
......
Anyhow, both of these guys are fat and bald and have flatulence issues. They both attended inferior schools all their lives, so maybe we should give them bibs, make sure the lids are tight on their cups, and dab the drool from the corners of their mouths when they show up here.
.....

Exactly why I don't coach anymore.   The school didn't like me using sippy cups on the sidelines.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Good Lord!  What in the world did you do as a teenager to warrant getting saddled with 4 girls.

* One last note...my son was recruited by the Berg.  They told him they had a new stadium that was going to open this year.  Funny...talking to senior parents yesterday, they said their sons were told the same thing 4 yrs ago.   Note to high school seniors...don't buy the "new stadium" line.

Groundbreaking on the "new stadium" at Heidelberg is going to happen this fall.
Great news motorman, Where is the new stadium going to be? Same location or someplace else? We walked across it during sons recruiting visit. Isn't Palm the AD now? If he is he will get things done.

Essentially what they are doing is building a stadium around the current football field. They have finally met all their fundraising goals and will break ground after the season ends. Most of the structure will be on the north side since there isn't much room on the other side of the field and the stream that runs through campus.

Palm has been AD for quite a while now, there are a lot of other plans on the drawing board. Only required now is the money.

Dr. Acula

Gonna be a soggy one in Bexley today.  Hold onto that pigskin, Raiders.

As RC said on this subject, we were promised an on-campus stadium for 5 years before it became a reality at Thomas More.  It's just the way it works sometimes at this level for various reasons.

Hahahahaha! I was a good teen-ager, never drank a drop of alcohol in high school (but made up for it during my first two years of college ;D  :o ;D) There is a surprise set of twins in there and I do have one son, so all is well. My youngest is a senior in high school. Girls are really not all bad -for the most part ;D I'm looking forward to seeing Mount play JCU. It will be my first visit to the campus.

Mount ofense so so at best today.  def. doing o.k.  Caps. mistakes helping them, and some weak play calling.  once again Burke is the running game.  Burke having major problems with wet ball, I guess.  disjointed is a good term as used by the 1310 boys.  now a blocked punt.  not the b est way to get ready for the last 3 games.

Dr. Acula

That was a sloppy first half.  Offense was far from crisp. Burke was not sharp throwing the ball.  It was raining out, but it definitely wasn't coming down. More of a steady, lighter rain.  Burke showed his elusiveness multiple times.  He's slippery.

Minnich started. Woods got a couple carries, but coughed it up inside the 10 and I never saw him again. It was all Minnich from then on.  I thought Minnich looked pretty good.

The defense was statistically excellent again but man did they have some dumb flags. Just undisciplined stuff.  And I didn't see Spencer at all. LeShawn Luke played.

I left after 3, but those 3 qtrs were not the best I've seen from this team by any stretch.  If it's possible to have an ugly win in a 58-3 game that was it.  Definitely have work to do.

Just saw this comment and thought it merited a response.  I played for Mike Hallett and know a couple of the other coaches at Heidi. Mike would never lie or mislead recruits about a stadium nor would he encourage or condone others - if you were told that by any of them, then THEY themselves believed it was going to be ready for this year.

You sound like you have a bit of a vendetta against Heidi. I'm not sure if you really do, but that's what it sounds like.

Welcome to the OAC and post patterns. Stick around - the guys in here are knowledgeable and good dudes. Except for Realitycheck, who is a redneck troll living in Arizona and probably counting down the 15 minute rule in his neighborhoods library so he can make fun of someone on here.

Any team that turns the ball over that much is expected to get blown out, even though I thought it was going to be ugly...but 8 fumbles, six loss, that's what happen when you run the option.

No... We actually loved Heidelberg and it was one of my sons top schools.  In the end I think I liked it more than him.  I don't think they lies about the stadium... I know how those things go.   Our high school team was promised a new stadium would be built by 2008 and we're still waiting.

I just found it amusing... I was telling the other parents at the tailgate about all the new buildings at the berg and said they were supposed to be getting a stadium and my son was told it would be ready at some point this season.  That's when a couple senior players' parents told me their kids were told the same thing 4 years prior when they were bring recruited.

Walt

And I said Inwould report back after the Mt. Union game with my thoughts after seeing JCU, Berg, and Mount back-to-back-to-back.

Here's what I see... The Berg has the most explosive offense and maybe the beat offense of the three.  They also may have the best kick/punt return units.   But of the third of the three defenses.  Not that they aren't good (disclaimer so I'm not tweeted!) just not as good as the other two.

Mt. Union is solid in all phases.  After reading the chatter here about their o-line I have to say that their o-line is probably not as strong as the lines for the other two.  Their QB is elusive so that hides their flaws.  Their defense is not flashy just damn good - good tackling, never out of position, good scheme, etc.

JCU is close to both Berg and Mount in all aspects.  I think any one of the three could beat the others.  It will be very interesting and entertaining to see how the season plays out.
