Mount's running a really tight-lipped camp...pretty much zero social media stuff coming out.  Miss you Lenny

congrats to Kaleb and Gio (Kaleb is my pick for National DPOY btw).  Looks like Mount's new QB will be facing two defensive 1st team All-Americans in game one and another in game two.  Should be a trial by fire.  Hopefully Mikey and the absolutely loaded Raiders offense will be ready

good to see Harley Hopkins sticking around at Etta and those JCU kids should have a much easier time putting up AA numbers this year

I was just coming here to say this. It's just odd, especially this day and age where you want your brand out there for recruiting and hyping up your fan base for the season!

Makes no sense. Beyond frustrating that they haven't been better at this. There are high schools in Stark, Mahoning and Columbiana counties that do 10x better with videos, pictures, social postings than the greatest D3 program in NCAA history.

I was just thinking this over the weekend because I was searching around to see if anything was out there.

Lenny was the GOAT.  I miss him this time of year.  I really miss him every spring when he used to call the baseball games just because he loved baseball and wanted to do it.  In classic D3 SID fashion he'd be doing play by play and between pitches telling the student assistant how to do the live stats software for what just happened.  That job is a labor of love and Lenny loved it.

I think expecting a program ran by Dartt to have any personality or creativity or fun is asking an awful lot.  I'm sure that the Mount Union brass would say that they are focused on only football, building grit, toughness, other lip service coach speak, etc

4 Year starter? Lets hope he's everything as advertised. Rooting for more Kevin Burke and less Neal Seaman for the young gun.

Also...pretty funny that The News-Herald breaks the official news considering our discourse yesterday about the lack of promotion coming from the program.

The difference would be MM having a redshirt freshman year.

Dr. Acula

I went back and looked and it looks like the current freshmen were beginning to be added to the roster online 5 days after practice started.  It appears we are running on a delay this fall as the only "freshmen" still appear to be the transfers.

I would anticipate the roster being updated soon, maybe.  Much like pulling the game streams immediately, I just don't understand why Mount operates the way that they do recently.  The era of "focus only on football" and the secrecy of rosters, game film, etc has been over for a while.

On a positive note, I've been told that MM and the OL have been standouts so far in camp

Dr. Acula

I understand it's voluminous with the number of players, but it still seems to take longer each year now.  In football's defense, the posting of current rosters for basketball/baseball have been slow also.

Mount has a top-notch Sport Business program, there should be no shortage students to help out.  Lenny was the GOAT, but DeMatteis ran an outstanding Sports Information department prior to Lenny.  Certainly a time of transition in Mount athletics (everything?)

Quote from: Raider 68 on August 16, 2025, 08:09:06 AMIn these times of financial stress for the small schools, I wonder where Otterbein and Capital stand? Other schools like Hiram, Wittenberg and even BW are really struggling. So as a talented athlete in Central Ohio, do they look elsewhere? Maybe the Pentello family has some future
players coming up??

ODU Roster currently online is a mishmosh of 24 and 25. He's listed with no picture or number for 2024 and no 25 listing.
