Quote from: Dr. Acula on July 14, 2026, 12:18:33 PMI saw a social media post ranking D3 schools by their followers across social media platforms.  Mount was #1.  The top 20 was full of a bunch of the usual suspects.  Cortland, UWW, HSU, SJU, NCC, etc.  But the one that surprised me?  Muskie at #17.  Good to see the Fish with some good support.

it's not shocking that Mount is far and away the best brand in D3.  But with OSU announcing today a $17m uniform brand deal with JP Morgan Chase...I wonder how much the only recognizable brand in D3 athletics could bring in?

It took Mount a few years to accept the Transfer portal and all those things, so I'm sure that Mount won't bring in the extra $ until somebody else in D3 starts

C'mon Mount. Don't be scared. Do it: https://imgur.com/a/o333TQu

How about this sponsor?

My vote is for the Naborhood! Seriously, do you think Morgan Engineering, Coastal Pet, Robertsons or MAC Trailer would be willing? Lol

It would be more likely that the football alumni would band together to make a donation over these companies without specific ties to the university and extra money... I'm not serious, but kind of serious at the same time.

Let's get Chris Cicchinelli on board. Pure Romance logo patches would blend well with the Purple & White.

The jersey sponsor could be Charmin, but bring back the black jerseys with the giant purple logos on the shoulders!

The decision applies to athletes who began playing collegiate sports in the 2022–2023 season, competed in NCAA Division I sports, and completed four years of eligibility as defined by the NCAA's prior rules by the conclusion of the 2025–2026 season.

... so basically no effect.

Billy B with a HOF type performance (as a junior in the national title game) ...but that's a whole 'nother conversation

916 yards and 13 TD in his 2 Stagg Bowl appearances...literally insane numbers

This is amazing. Would be a dream to uncover every stagg bowl replay.

2015 Stagg Bowl from Mount's youtube.  Might have been the windiest Mount game that I've ever been at, literally straight up/down the field.  The Purple Raiders would have dropped 70+ that night in decent weather.  The January Stagg in Salem should be....interesting

Dr. Acula

That's a great watch.  That 2015 offense was loaded.  So much fun to watch.

Interesting conference alliance between HCAC and OAC just announced.  https://heartlandconf.org/news/2026/7/30/general-hcac-and-oac-announce-innovative-strategic-alliance-to-support-division-iii-student-athletes.aspx

I am guessing this isn't so Manchester Football finally gets a crack at Mount Union  ;D

very creative way to protect against the inevitable moves some schools will be making (aka Defiance to NAIA) or protects against the risk of closure due to financial issues.   Pretty sure that why Bluffton tired a partial merger with Findlay that fell apart.  I had not heard of OAC schools in financial trouble but protects against more like JC moving leagues.

man, the COVID years, NIL and the transfer portal really did a number to high end D3 football.  Just that Mount Union team had nearly the same number of guys getting NFL shots (Lally, Namdar, Jones) as the entire division in 2026

if you want a really fun watch.....2015 Mount-UWW semifinal  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxglsSUPM-0
