Hansen's table confirming Mount's lack of experience heading into 2026.

Mount #222 of 240 in D3.  Capital (41) and BW (74) with the most experience returning among the OAC....still like Mount's chances  :)

Quote from: D3fanboy on August 29, 2026, 04:17:04 PMpoking at Geoff is easy with the early playoff exits, nail-biting finishes at middle-tier conference opponents, questionable play calls on national TV, lack of personality, etc.  That's part of the job at the only national brand in D3 sports.  I am excited for Dartt to just be the head coach this season.  Just be the head guy and like Moses, lean on your staff.

Burke and Kappas are as polished and qualified coordinators as Mount has had in years and years.  The great Vince Kehres even seemed to struggle as the HC and DC, its a lot.  VK gave up the DC role and the Raiders took off, let's hope history repeats itself.

I love that Dartt brings in large recruiting classes, but I can't fathom a day that Mount doesn't bring in well over 100 freshmen no matter who the coach is

I think you might have missed purple's tone there a bit D3Fanboy ;)

I keep saying, whoever makes a sarcasm font for the written word will be a billionaire.

I want to announce the creation of the "Geoff Dartt Fan Club", " with your humble narrator as President. There is gear, shirts, backpacks, keychains, and mugs available for free. You will see me at the main gate, shaking hands, kissing babies, and posing for photo opportunities. I'll have a banner, "Let's Thank Coach Dartt" in purple and white. I'll have a chart detailing the millions of dollars successful football alumni, all friends of Coach Dartt, have donated to Mount Union.  Look for me; I'll be dressed in PURPLE.

I just got back from my Coaches and Card Tables meeting and read your post.
Banquet, is there going to be a banquet at the end of the football season?
All that money being brought in is great, but unfortunately rules are rules.
No winning the big game, no sitting at the big table come Thanksgiving.
Sorry

What happened to Muskingum's wide out Gore?  I don't see him on the roster this year

checking in on former Raiders (and the duality of the transfer portal)

Kaleb Brown started at WILL for #5 FCS Tarleton State in a nationally televised game against Prairie View A&M.  Brown recorded 2 tackles and had a near sack resulting in a QB Hit to help the Texans win.  Kaleb will be back in Ohio taking on BGSU this weekend.

Davion Grant did not appear in Valdosta State's blowout win over Emory and Henry.  The Blazers ran the ball 50 times while throwing it only 17.  "NFL looks" might be tough to get in the Valdosta offense for WR, especially those who do not step on the field

Nick Turner is unfortunately no longer listed on the '26 Wayne State roster

Hell Yeah!!

I just hope the underdog Raiders can go on the long road to Illinois and make us proud.  Apparently, this Wheaton team is unbelievable, and Mount should just be happy to hang around

Mount's never seen a team like Wheaton before.

(Because of recent reactions to recent posts, I unequivocally announce the preceding statement to be said tongue-in-cheek).

USee

Underdogs, sure. Hansen has the Raiders as a dog but that's almost entirely based on returning production for both teams and is simply quantitative. As a Wheaton fan, I'll make it a pickem and take the Raiders. Anyone want the other side?

lol

but lets hope the OAC has a banner year and gets 3 teams into the playoffs.  ONU and BW should both be playoff contenders if they can handle the Michigan teams.  BW getting Alma at home is a must win if you want to be a national program. ONU going up to Adrian and getting a W would be huuuge for the OAC.  Both the Jackets and Bears HCAC crossovers should be a breeze.  Can BW avoid their yearly loss to a mid-OAC team?

Berg beating Maryville would also be outstanding.  Etta getting Westminster and MSJ in OOC is going to be tough. Can Muskie knock off MSJ in week one?

Nah, this year is gonna be the another year where ONU and BW knock themselves out of getting the coveted at-large bid, leaving the OAC with just our usual purple representation in the playoff.   ;D

Mount Union has never had to re-load their squad, ever!!!

Logan Hansen is all about analytics and who could ever argue those!?!!?! like Garth Brooks says "Thunder Rolls"
