First world problems, but it is insanely annoying that if you're watching Flo on your phone and you take your headphone out of your ear and then put it back in Flo cuts to a commercial every single time you do.  The only way it could be worse is if it was a political ad each time.

Even more underwhelming now.

We've gone from underwhelming to let's just get out of here with a win.

Mount more athletic, but Marietta with more want...entertainng game.

ONU sheds it's contender skin.  BW with Mount looming.

How'd the former Crusdadrs score 29 in 4th qtr to beat Muskies...how far have the Muskies fallen?

Wow! ... A first time, indeed!!
I mean, I can certainly see how Franklin & Marshall vaulted from the unranked to #22.
Afterall, the records of the teams they have defeated is 3-14.
Until yesterday, it was 1-12.

Prescient.

Well today was - well we won but IT wasnt a win. I think they outplayed us but sometimes its better to be lucky than good. On the good side - we handled the run. BWs hammer is the run game. On the bad - we punted in 4 and inches and 4th and 1 or 2 way to often. Christ put Maloney under center and sneak it! If there is no confidence in the line getting us 6 inches then WTH is the point of any of this? Mount had 1 play - 1! - where we looked like Mount. The 50+ yd score before half.  Thats it. The rest looked like Hiram, or Capital, or Oberlin (EW!).

Based on how this Wheaton vs NCC game is going I'm baffled that we were so close to beating Wheaton in week 1

Wheaton just won 13-10

And wheaton wins!

If that extra point didn't get blocked, i think ya'll woulda won in OT, be a whole different season, but then to lose to a normally 4th ish place in the OAC Hberg and then this game against Marietta what a weird season

Winning is hard.... Keep getting better! Grove City and Wheaton wins have to help Mounts strength of schedule, right?

Wilmington almost pulled out a win out of conference as well.

It appears that there were defensive injuries with no Liebler, Holmes or Anderson at DB. Siders, Wade and McCarthy stepped up. Jahaad Williams got a couple of big pressures. Reilly stepped up with the TD and good blocking. Special teams (punts, kickoff defense and returns) seemed to be much improved.

As said before, what happened to being able to run the ball in 3rd or 4th and 2 or less? Is it blocking, mismatches or lack of creativity?

Your next two weeks is the time to work on your weaknesses before BW.

And Bokman was so good last week he got about 2 carries.

Wow, congrats to Wheaton.  I thought Mount looked very evenly matched with Wheaton.  The problem is I thought they looked very evenly matched with everyone not named Muskie too.  They've played 3 OAC games and in 2 of them the opposing QB set a career high in passing yards.  Fortunately today the defense stepped up with the last minute pick to save the game.

probably career high in passing attempts as well.  The offense seems to operate much better when going with a little bit of tempo, however when Mount fails to pick up 3rd and shorts and punts on 4th and less than 1...it puts the defense right back out there.

penalties and bonehead things are still affecting this team, hopefully it can get remedied in the next couple of weeks against teams that resemble Muskie.  But I wouldn't hold my breath.  11 penalties is far too many, running the punt returner out on 2nd down and then having 12 men on the punt return team are just three things that leap out.

Rafferty has a tremendous leg and is a weapon on kick-offs, but I think it may be time to put the kibosh on the 40+ field goal attempts

I have stood by the team field entrance a few times at a game. 1st was in 05 - listening to Nate and Greg talking on the way out at half - set the tone, no mistakes - the oline talking about no penalties and finish strong, the D saying D stuff (pressure, time to hit, no let down). Same thing with Lally and Nemeth, and Taurice on their run. They were amped up coming out of the locker room.

I stood there yesterday. kappas comes out with a coach, no talking. Kickers and holders...nothing. Doors open here come the Raiders..and nothing. Slow walk, guys laughing, one guy looks over fence and calls out "what up niglo (sp?). What you doin later?". 2 guys talking about a frat party after game "you heading over?". The only guy that said anything football-ish (not really football ish even) was #4. Last one out and I was stepping off the walk and said "finish strong" and he replied "yes Sir". No one seemed ready, convinced, confident, or determined. It was odd. Made me think more of how the opponents normally come out after the first half - defeated and ready to go home.

likely a bit of difference in the locker room vibe with LK and VK in charge than '26.  I'm sure Geoff gets fired up when he breaks out the new pack of Doublemint, but the FGs and punts on 4th and shorts isn't going to get the juices flowing on sideline or in the locker room.  But "the standard is the standard" right?
