Wow!

We added a 6'5" 288 pound D1 O-lineman and a WR that averaged over 14 yards per catch?

Nice!

Those transfers only have one year of eligibility left. I can see Salopek replacing Kelly at LG. He's a similar size. Coyne and Dahlen have to be replaced at WR. Coyne had more catches last season, but Cave, who returns, had more yards (22.67 y/g). Alec Angelo had catch numbers comparable to Cave, but half as may yards. Brian Caldwell began his college career at D2 Seton Hill, where he was red-shirted in 2021 and saw action only in 2 games in 2022. He transferred to Brockport and after limited action in 2023 he was the teams third-leading receiver and third team Empire 8 last season.

The intriguing newcomer is 5'8 200 RB Ray Perry. I could find no record of his high school days. He has a LinkedIN profile which shows that he is a USMC vet, but doesn't list his dates of service. It also shows that he enrolled at CWRU in March 2024. Also under education, it lists Harvard Extension School in January 2021; perhaps that was when he was in the Corps.

Actually, I watched some highlight film on Aaron Alexander, the RB from Texas.

He played for a very good playoff level large TX high school, and based on his highlights, he looks tough to bring down.

Wouldn't surprise me to see him come in and get some carries right away.

Just noticed that Demarco is retiring from Geneva after the season.  Good for him and the school.   He deserved to go out on his own terms, and that program is in desperate need of new blood.

That program is one of the most supported D3 programs around, and they have done nothing but struggled.   There is no reason why they shouldn't be competing for the conference championship  on a regular basis.

The PAC needs someone to step up and be competitive to fill in for CMUs departure.   Plus the bottom of the conference needs to step up to at least get respectable.

I attended the CWRU prospect camp this weekend with my son who is going into his Sr yr of High School.  Was my first time there, great campus and cool stadium.  Great coaching staff...left a great impression on him.

Glad to hear your son had such a good impression.  What position does he play, and what is he interested in studying?  Has he already made an application for admission?

Has Geneva been held back by continuing to run the triple-option? I recall a time when most of the WPIAL ran that offense. That no longer seems to be the case. Of course nationally, Springfield and Salisbury have still been quite successful with that offense.

The bottom of the PAC moves up one spot with the addition of Hiram, lowest NPI in D3. Will St Francis successfully transition to D3 and fill the void at the top left by CMU's departure?

Just added to the roster transfer QB Pierce Olsen from FCS Merrimack. He doesn't seem to have played a down there. He's listed as a JR, although he states he was redshirted in 2023, although Merrimack's roster didn't list him as a redshirt.

^ Solid season preview.  Thanks for posting.

This quote is spot on:

"The first three games are extremely challenging with non-conference contests at traditionally strong teams in Rowan and Wabash, along with Westminster. We have to be ready to play those first three games," said Debeljak. "And I think the top-third of our league is as good as any in the country, so it will be a challenge as always. But, you know that if you make the playoffs, you have already faced three or four playoff-level teams."
