So what do we expect from St Francis?  Are thinking they are dropping down to compete for championships or just dropping down to save cost and whatever happens,  happens?

Their public talk is about competing for championships but they have to confront the reality of doing that in Division III, with non-scholarship student-athletes.

I just saw that CWRU WR Noah Coyne has an invite to the NY Giants mini-camp.

It would be so cool if he could make the roster.

I don't think a CWRU alum has been on any NFL roster since Warren Lahr in the 1950s.

Erwin Grabisna, LB, Case W. Reserve – 1988, 6th Round (No.143 overall by Raiders didn't make the roster.

So has there been CWRU player on an NFL roster more recently than Warren Lahr in the 1950s?

Not that I can recall. Dan Whalen did play a bit in the Arena League part of it for Cleveland Gladiators.

Dan played in parts of six games for the Gladiators in the 2011 season, leading two come from behind wins, going 23 for 49 and passing for 284 yards with 9 total touchdowns and 1 interception.

Speaking of Whalen, who is CWRU's leading candidate to start at QB in 2025?

Aaron Filips who started the final game last season.
He also played more than half the 2022 final game.
He missed all 2023 from lnjury.
Some insight might be gained if there is online coverage of the exhibition game in Italy

ADL70,

A couple of questions:

1) do you have any idea when this year's recruiting class will be announced/posted, AND

2) is there a summer tour being planned for this team?

Not sure why the delay in posting the incoming class. Both XC and wrestling have posted incoming athletes on IG. Perhaps it's because of the recently completed trip to Italy and Greece, to answer your second question.

From [anti]social media I have identified 21 "commitments" and 4 other "offers" who have not been reported as committed to a school. I'm sure the incoming class will be larger that.

OK.  Thanks!

I need to watch that youtube video!

Interestingly, I just noticed that one of the men's XC commits is from MY old high school!

I just watched the first hour of that game in Italy.  CWRU was definitely having its way with that Italian "team" (I'm perhaps being a bit generous in my use of that term).  Is that like a local club team of some kind?
