Yeah this will be a no contest once the NCAA looks at it. They didn't play enough game time, and you certainly can't invent points that were never scored to create a tie. Not sure if football games that are tied at or past the minimum point of completion count either tbh.

Wabash is a tall order, especially if Filips is out.

Really needed a win against Rowan.

W&J got outplayed. The D1 QB transfer passed for over 500 yards.

This week they play Hampden-Sydney coached by W&J's former defensive co-ordinator. W&J coming off a big loss, HS coming off a big win. My friend at copilot has HS favored. The mentor and the student face off. We will see. Copilot has W&J still having an 80% chance of keeping the winning season streak going even if they lose Saturday.

I saw that.  I wonder if Filips is lost for the season.

Greetings PAC fans, specifically Grove City fans!

As a traveling Mount Union alum/supporter, I was told by a GC alum that there is no admittance fee for Saturday's game at Thorn Field. Is that correct? Looking forward to a spirited and competitive contest on Saturday!

Tough loss for CWRU after multiple lightning delays and a relocation.

I hope that conference play goes better!

I was thrilled with the way Hiram played - though I fully realize it was against a badOberlin team - it was still a solid performance.

I prefer to refer to Oberlin as being outmanned not "bad." They only have 38 players and only 28 played.

Congrats  to Hiam for the win.

Seeing 28 in the box score isn't necessarily the be-all and end-all. At some schools there is less emphasis given to making sure the game participation report is perfect.

Surprise! In his final season after 33 years as Geneva's HC, Coach DeMarco has scrapped the triple option. Geneva's passing line vs Widener was 27-45-2 258 3 TDs and vs Shenandoah 22-36-1 260 1 TD

In an interview with Pat Coleman Coach DeMarco cited the elimination of cut blocks and the difficulty in finding HS QBs who have run the offense as reason for the change. He also stated that the change would help whoever succeeded him.

If you use CC the auto-caption or read the transcript it has "our president,
uh, Dr. Trump," instead of Dr Troup

Having tracked Participation for CWRU's stats crew from 2010-15, I know the commitment involved. We had one person tracking each team. But even if all 33 of Oberlin's players who dressed played and not 28, they were still well outmanned. Even if there were inaccuracies, Hiram fielded about half again as many players.

It's amazing how times have changed.

Back when I was playing HS football in the late 80s, some form of triple option attack (Veer, Wishbone, I-Formation, or Spread) was almost the STANDARD offense for that level of play.

My own HS ran the wishbone.

Times sure have changed.

What was once the standard offense for most high schools has now become a novelty "throwback" offense at all levels of play.

Query: Once in a while you hear about a TX team that came out of nowhere to make the state playoffs by running an offense like the old Pop Warner Single Wing that NOBODY has run regularly since the 1950s.......simply because no one has seen it, no one knows how to defend it, and with only 2-3 full pad practices per week, no one can possibly prepare for it.

I wonder if you'll ever see an underdog college team try to run the Single Wing.

Denison ran the single wing from 77-92. CWRU won the first NCAC title in 1984 beating Denison 45-13. In CWRU's last offensive series, the scout team went in and ran the single wing against Denison.
