I know one of the freshman QBs played at my old high school so I saw him a few times. Either he is W&Js starter and he is really good, or someone was good enough to beat him out.  Your QB situation should be fine as long as they stay healthy.

I am excited to see what St. Francis looks like as a D3 school.  You would assume the first year or two, they are strong and are amongst the top 3/4 teams. The question is how do they look year 3 and beyond.

When are they eligible for D3 playoffs?

The PAC needs them to be a tough team competing for the conference title, this conference cannot take another bottom dweller.

If all goes well, they will be eligible in the fall of 2028.

Hadn't noticed until now that CWRU's 2026 schedule has dropped.

I hate that we don't have our "Trophy Game" rivalries against Carnegie-Mellon and Wooster as our non-conference games.

But at least we get a UAA team in one game (Rochester).

Any news going on in the PAC?

Any recruits of interest?  Any coaching changes?

Reading in the general board of a lot of conferences moving their broadcast to Flo and behind a paywall.  We are lucky enough to have the PAC Network and real lucky to get a professional broadcast 1 game a week on KDKA+ for free.

Anyone know what the PAC's future intentions are?  Is there any potential they will move away from this current system that we all know and love?  The dollar amount to the schools being thrown around is $30k.  I know every dollar helps, but outside of a few schools in the PAC, would the majority need that money bad enough to risk alienating alums, students, and current parents along with any other fans?

Also UAA is contracted with Flo, what does Case do with their football broadcast?

Case's football was on Flo last year.

Joe Onderko was pretty clear last year when I interviewed him about their lack of interest in FloSports:

W&J just announced that they will be building a new 200 capacity dorm to open in Fall 2017 to accommodate increasing enrollment from Washington County due to a new scholarship program funded by a bequest, and the new joint BSN program with Washington Hospital which is part of the UPMC. Great news given the overall pain many small independent colleges are facing. There was actually a freshman on the football team last season who is majoring in nursing.

I peeked at Spartans' 2026 roster. 73 returners (I didn't see any significant defections) and 40 newcomers (38 FY and 2 transfers). Sergio Beltran is a QB/WR GR transfer from Bates who after a 2nd team NESCAC junior year had a season ending injury after three games senior year. Will Maisenbacher is a 6'3 220 TE who didn't play in 2025 as a FY PWO at FCS Wofford.

It appears that Filips will return as a GR for his 4th year's eligibility which last season ended in the 3rd quarter of game 1.

Interesting.  Thanks for the update!

I'll go check it out.

Who would you say is the front runner at QB?  Filips or the Bates transfer?

OK, so the NESCAC people are telling me he's probably more of an all-purpose back (mostly a receiver) than a pure QB.  Looks like most of his production at Bates was through rushing and receiving.

So if Filips is fully recovered and healthy, I'm guessing he starts at QB with Beltran making a major contribution as a receiver, rusher, and perhaps as a wildcat option at QB.
