York (NY) has started the game on an 11-0 run in the opener of the Christopher Newport Captains Shootout in Newport News this afternoon. Millikin must be allergic to saltwater.

It's been a while since Millikin played. They may be a little rusty coming off their break. Hopefully, the Blue will get their sea legs back in time for a 2nd half comeback.

At the half:

York (NY) 43
Millikin 29

The Cardinals are shooting a blistering 63% from the field (17-27), and 58% from downtown (7-12). They're also outrebounding the Big Blue, 16-12, and have only one more turnover than does MU.

The Big Blue's leading scorer is Tunde Ogunleye with 8; Charles Warren and Robert Burton have 5 apiece. Joscar Demby has 5 boards.

The Cardinals came into the game sporting a pretty lousy 2-10 record (with one of the two wins being over Lancaster Bible), and they hail from the historically weak CUNYAC. If Millikin can't come back to win this one, it'll be a real head-scratcher.
