I didn't see a lot of that game so not sure if Augie played down or Millikin played up to their competition.

I took a look at some of this Augie vs. Millikin game. A couple turnovers led to TD's for Millikin.

With 2 minutes left in 1rst Q Augie is punting and somehow the snap hits a Augie player. Millikin recovers at the Augie 23 to start a TD drive.

With 9 minutes left in 4rth Q and the score Augie 17-13, Millikin has a 4rth and goal at like the half yard line. They try a QB sneak but get stuffed. Augie then takes over and fumbles the hand off in the end zone and Millikin recovers for a TD to go up 20-17.

Our game started an hour late because of homecoming and I caught the end of NPU vs. Augie during our halftime.       
I checked the NCC game first but quickly switched over to NPU. I'm sure Viking fans will discuss but NPU scored late to tie.  They both scored TD's in first OT. Augie got held to a FG in second OT and NPU scored the TD, if I recall on a QB sneak more like push...

Carroll's offense came alive with their running game rushing for 314 yards on Millikin.  Millikin is going to struggle picking up a win.  Looking forward to NPU game next week. Should be a good one.

Both the double-overtime outcome and the closeness of the statistical totals reveals that there really is no daylight between NPU and Augie. The two sets of Vikings are pretty much dead even as far as football teams are concerned. If there is one area in which the Park has the edge, though, it's at QB. Both teams have veteran signalcallers, but Matt Eck's just simply better than his Augustana counterpart Cole Bhardwal. Whereas Bhardwal let a few good plays get away from the Rock Islanders by throwing too high or too far out in front or behind the receiver, Eck was hardly ever off-target. While he was unable to connect with Ombogo or McCloud on the long ball today, his short and midrange passes were impeccable, with the exception of one pass he threw too high at the goal line. And his ability to escape pressure and create something out of nothing was really on display today.

Interesting season thus far for NPU. The Vikings drop a game against a team they were supposed to beat, and then turn around the following week and beat a team that was supposed to take care of business against the Park. Next week the Vikings will no doubt be significant underdogs against Carroll at NPU's Homecoming. We'll see what next Saturday brings.

Eck would've made it into the endzone regardlesss once he had shifted his body into the crevice (no such thing as a genuine hole in that situation) between C Cade McKinstry and RG Ethan Floyd. The real question is why Augie PBP broadcaster Matthew Nichol said that Eck "looks to hand it off" as he started the QB sneak. Once Eck ran up from the shotgun to take the snap under center, everyone else in the stadium was well aware that it was going to be a QB sneak.

(No brickbats sent Matt's way, though, as he did a nice job calling the game.)

Nope. I did have two volleyball matches to call today. But they were at 5 pm and 7 pm, which allowed me to watch the football game online before I left for Foster & Kedzie.
