He was taking out early in the 4rth Q of Augie game. The replay of the Augie game is on the CCIW network. He comes out around the 14:10 mark of 4rth Q and goes right to training table on sideline.

I don't know about trusting the 2 deep. It's been wrong in a few games as far as starting QB.

Forcucci isn't even listed as the backup on the Wheaton 2 deep. However, don't for a minute think that's a definite sign that not only won't he play but that he, in fact, might even start. It wouldn't be at all surprising for the Wheaties to try to keep the Cardinals guessing right up until game time. In fact, NCC pulled the same stunt in week 1 when they listed Calvin Lavery as the starter when it was known all along that Wilson would be the starter, and Ashiru the backup.  8-)  ::)

Quote from: USee on October 03, 2025, 04:36:57 PMBell game tomorrow. Having seen every snap this season for both teams, I could certainly write a lot about these two teams and their strengths/weaknesses. Suffice to say this seems like Wheaton's best chance in 5 seasons (as Greg T wrote on the front page in Week 5 predictions). That said I think the Thunder are probably 14 pt+ under dogs by all outside accounts.

Congrats to NCC on a dominating win. Wheaton doesn't have the personnel up front on either side of the ball to compete with North Central and that was the main determinant of the outcome last night. Sullivan and his Cardinal Crew have a special group on defense. He is an absolute game wrecker. And the NCC offense, while not as flashy as the last few years, is still a dominant group. This team will be tough to beat.

Gus- Two things: First, there is a bit of an unwritten rule on these boards that you shouldn't call out someone's predictions (which they made before the contest) after the fact if you haven't made your own predictions known in advance. These boards are much more interesting when people engage and offer their own opinion. It takes little to no thought to pick apart someone else's post after the facts are in.

Second, I wasn't wrong. This is a Wheaton team that can beat almost any team outside of the top 2-3. That's just how good North Central is.

Have to move the Bears defense back to questionable.

The Titans twice missed the extra point.

Augie got payback for being nipped by NPU on their Homecoming last year by nipping NPU on NPU's Homecoming this year. The game wasn't statistically balanced; Augustana dominated just about every category. But football games are not just a compilation of statistics. The Park held Augie scoreless on two occasions in which the visitors were inside the NPU 10 -- a fumble recovery and a stop on fourth and inches -- and getting a healthy Jereme Ombogo back (2 TDs) made a huge difference. Three interceptions on Caillix Dillon throws is what really did in North Park (not that all of them were his responsibility); it's just part of the growing pains of being a quarterback making his second collegiate start.

Everybody raves about Augie's D1 transfer QB Jimmy Makuh, but, while he's pretty good, it's the Augie O-line that left the lingering impression. They're big, senior-dominated, and they allowed Augie rushers to run downhill all day while also keeping Makuh clean for the most part.

North Park showed great moxie in hanging around the game until the very end, but it's a tribute to how far Vikings football has come that "moxie" just ain't gonna cut it all by itself anymore.

We have to acknowledge the fact that, for the second time in CCIW football history, we are in a period in which the reigning dominant program is so far beyond the rest of the league that its CCIW schedule is really nothing more than incidental. It's basically prep work for the playoffs.

10/25 WashU @ Wheaton for second place. To me Wheaton looks better.

If WashU loses to Wheaton I'm not sure they are automatic for 3rd place.
They play Augie @Augie last game of the season. It's possible that game could be for 3rd place.
