I'm seeing some bad news about a mass shooting at a Halloween party near IWU.🙏

The party, which was attended by 150-200 people, took place on the block of Division St. in Bloomington which abuts the IWU baseball field. Reports indicted that the shooters were 2 African-American males, but it is not known what led to the shooting, and no one has yet been identified or arrested.

Eight young people, including 2 in high school, were wounded. They range in age from 16-19. Two of the victims were initially listed as being in critical condition, but have been upgraded to stable condition. However, most tragically, one 19 year old student was killed.

* The student killed was 19 year old Giana Dettloff from Carol Stream and Glenbard North High School. Giana is a freshman cheerleader at North Central College who was in town visiting a friend at IWU for the weekend.

Tragic news.
I had read students from IWU, Illinois State University, Quincy University and the local high school were at the party.
