R&P,

Your right, seems like I was Coaching him as a young boy not to long ago!
It's been a fun ride, now he begins a new chapter. I'm so lucky he plans to stay close by.

Thanks for the link to the Aztec roster.

Peace
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

The title game gets much love- HD-ESPN.
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

R&P,

I've got to give you credit, like coco, I had no Idea you were a players parent.
My Top Hat is tipped for you. Many, like on the SCIAC board where the father of Redlands new Fr. QB made it so obvious.

A little story:
This was my sons first year as Head boys Soccer coach at near by Y-C high School. I made all the home games and taped them from the spectator side of the field. 2 reasons, 1) I wanted to hear what people were saying, and 2) it didn't give me away as his dad. After many games, finally one parent asked which son was mine. I said the tall one, she looked at me, and I said, Oh, I mean the Coach. She smiled and said we just love him. he's so good with the kids and knows the game so well. I told her that's why I didn't introduce myself in the beginning, I wanted to see how he was treated. Co-Coach of the year summed up the season.

Take care all, and have a Happy Holiday Season.

Congrats to Little Tux.  Looks like you all did a fantastic job parenting the "tall one".  So glad he is off to a wonderful start and that he has such supportive parents.  Both he and Sean are lucky in that they do have such support from their families.  In this day and age there are so many fragmented families where that support is not always available.  We have a great number of parents at BC who supprt their players as well and it is always a pleasure to be with them at games and tailgates and on bus trips.  Merry Christmas,  Joyeux Noël, Feliz Navidad, Gut Yul, Καλά Χριστοùγενα!!! (Once upon a time, a long time ago (1978-1979) I spent a year teaching English and French in Greece.  If you get the chance, it's a great place to visit!  Πολù Όραίω (sp. a bit sketchy here) :) :) :)

Where to should I start? Thanks for your support of D3 football, the NWC, Linfield, and Sean. The brownies and the bracelets you made and sent were very thoughtful. Thank you for the emails. Enjoy your Christmas break. Our's begins on the 19th. Can't complain about the time off we get!

Merry Chrsitmas to all! Best wishes for the New Year.
Following Sean and Linfield has brought me lots of joy and many new friends in many states that I have never even visited . . .YET!!!  I think that is one of the great things that comes from dIIIfootball.com.  Kudos to Pat and all for the great work they do!!!  It's been a pleasure.  I'll be hoping to hear how Sean's coaching and teaching career is going from time to time!! My vacation begins on the 15th as I travel down to the STAGG BOWL!!!.  I hope to finish grades sooner than that however!!

Olinemom,

Thanks for the kind words! You are so good to us, you really need to plan a trip out west and let us show you around our fine State! You can see the Catdome and enjoy this beautiful area we call home. Just leave your class's to a student aid or somebody. ;) ;)   ;D         Enjoy the game next week, we will be watching, and thinking about  our run to the Stagg next year!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Congrats to Isaac Blum and Steve Martin of UPS and the rest of the NWC players for their All-West Region honors. I would have liked to have seen Rory honored as well, but oh well.

Thanks!!  Creative financing.  I'm thinking of arming my cats (Robby and Sugar) and sending them to the 10 banks in Bridgewater to ask for donations  ;D ;D ;D for my trip to Oregon.  One of them can carry the side piece and the other can carry the money bag.  What do you think?  Unfortunately, somebody will have to open the door for them both coming and going.  I'll have to keep working on the plan.  Have a great holiday!!

Many thanks to Pat and whomever is responsible for bringing us the Whitewater and Mt. Union games "live video" on the internet....great to have this technology being used at Division III level......now we just need to bring it to the Catdome!
LEAVE NO DOUBT

coco

I'll second that, Pat. It was great to watch the games full screen, just like on TV. You all do an outstanding job.
Gordon Mann was out here in 2004. Nice guy. Maybe next year we can make that happen again.

Olinemom,
Tuxguy has the right idea. Let a student take your classes, or cancel them and come see a football game out here next fall.

Don't know about the college level, but in elementary they're called substitute teachers. Over the last five years I've used my share of subs so I could head to the CATDOME on a Friday. You won't regret making the trip out to the Northwest.

Olinemom, it can be done. Over the last several years I have used a substitute for Friday, driven the 10-11 hours to Mac to watch some great playoff football and enjoy the awesome hospitality of the Catdome crew. Save your pennies and shop Southwest airlines, they have some great deals on flights. I've done that a few times too for regular season games. ;D

I'm starting the "Bring O-mom to the Catdome" campaign.
I'll chip in to make it happen.
