Can Hansen Sports do a similar preview for the Presidents' Athletic Conference?
CWRU Grad, Class of 1994, big D3 sports fan of that school.  Also a fan of Yeshiva U at the D3 level.  Fan of Houston and Illinois at the D1-FBS level.

Thanks for all the info. Like many of you, I cannot wait for college season to begin aside from the  chaos  of big time college football.

Need some help-we are making our first trip ever to Bowdoin.   Any suggestions on  where to stay, dine  etc.?   Thanks

Quote from: HansenRatings on July 25, 2025, 09:15:57 AMI put together a "Preseason Magazine" style preview for the NESCAC this season. It's easily the most balanced conference in the country, with 7/10 teams projected 0.500 or better, no team projected with fewer than 2 wins and no team projected with fewer than 2 losses.

Nice work - Jordan Atkinson transferred from Trinity to Georgetown, it was a spring transfer but was wondering if it is 100% accurate otherwise in regards to outgoing players

I don't think Koy Price could possibly be coming back for Bowdoin, he played four full seasons.

The Brunswick Hotel is adjacent to the campus -- you can walk from there across campus to Whittier Field: https://thebrunswickhotel.com

Very close to the Brunswick Hotel is the Pomelia Restaurant (it is adjacent to the train station so within a block of the hotel). It is very excellent. There are other restaurants further downtown with Bao Bao Dumpling House in Pleasant St offering superb Asian fusion cuisine (maybe 3 blocks from the hotel).

OneSixtyFive -- The Inn on Park Row is another hotel that is also very close to the campus but is smaller than the Brunswick Hotel. A little bit further from the campus is a third hotel option, the Federal, which includes an excellent restaurant (555 North).

Generally speaking, Brunwick is known for good dining . . .

And if you like Lobster and want to wander off campus a bit take a 20 minute drive north on Route 1 to Wiscassett and hit "Red's Eats" for a great Maine lobster roll, one of the best. Nothing anywhere in the country like local, fresh Maine lobster.

We took a Maine coast vacation 30 years ago, using  Wiscassett as our base, and my wife still talks about the lobster rolls at Red's.

I would advise agaisnt a side trip to Red's for a lobster roll. It is a serious trourist trap, which in practical terms means a very long wait for your lobster roll. There are places closer to Brunswick (but on the shore) they offer equally good lobster rolls but also many other seafood options plus better views, etc. The Dolphin Marina, Erica's, and Morses are all on the Harpswell peninsula (not part of the town of Brunswick but connected to Brunswick) and right on the ocean and have superb lobster rolls plus many other choices . .

Don't want turn the board into the food network. I have been to Erica's Dolphin Marina and Morses many times and they are great Maine seafood spots but there is no better Lobster Roll than Reds. Yes, the wait is long but none of the aforementioned places has a better Lobster Roll. A lot of the folks in line at Reds are local people like me when I lived in that area- they know where to find the best.

I just saw a recent post where the wait at Red's was 90 minutes. We are talking about 90 minutes of standing in line. Also drove by it the other day and the line was insane. Hence my caution about banking on a Red's lobster roll during a short weekend trip to Brunswick . .

Wow, My comments don't contemplate a 90 minute wait. There is always a line but I've never heard of or experienced that kind of wait. If that is correct I agree Quicksilver.

My daughter graduated from Bowdoin a few years back, and I would recommend the Haraseekett Lunch and Lobster in South Freeport Maine...it's about 20 minutes South of Brunswick, and offers great views as well.

Thanks for the input, I'll make sure to get those updated before the season starts.

I tried to go through team rosters to double-check who was coming back, and even went to see if I could pick up anything from the kids' social media pages to check for transfer announcements, but most team rosters weren't updated, and none of the kids' social media pages (of the ones I could find) were very useful in that regard.

I'll eventually be doing the same sort of preview for every conference. I have some more work to do in regards to playoff & bowl projections before the other conferences will be ready.
