Oshkosh at Whitewater coming up next Friday and Saturday
Of course, because as a regular opponent, UWO already knows no metal cleats on the mound at Whitewater..

Have we confirmed that's what it is? How dumb.

I'm late to this conversation but that is indeed what I heard as a fallout from the regionals this weekend.

I don't think the issue was the "No Metal Cleats" on the mound at Whitewater...

The problem was the lack of communication (whether intentionally or accidentally) to the other teams at the 2024 Regional who were left scrambling trying to find footwear for their pitchers while being hundreds (or thousands in the case of Cal Lutheran) from home.

Based on the awarding of the 2025 Regional to Adrian, it's not too difficult to see how the NCAA viewed things...

That makes a bit more sense. Thanks for shedding some light on it. Less dumb. I assume this year will serve as enough punishment for that issue. Given Whitewater's location, I can see how that would be less than fun to try and come up with cleats this late in the season easily.

I can confirm that our mounds inability to allow metal spikes was the reason that we were unable to host the regional.  That comes directly from the university's athletic director.  The problem is being remedied by installing a new mound, which can accommodate metal spikes, for the super regional. Mystery solved

Why do you need to flip a bat? The slow jog around the bases is enough to rub it in.
Just a thought, what if you sprinted around the basepaths and slid into home plate?
Would that get warning?

After really not hitting the ball that well in Adrian the WARHAWKS bats came alive today. 18 hits in 8 at bats. Holland and Cootway with 5 RBI apiece. We generally don't hit Brinkman that hard. Hansen was sharp.  I think that was the first 9 inning complete game by one of our pitchers this season. It was Hansen's third. Defense was spot on with several nice plays from Jackson and Thies.

Though I like our odds tomorrow baseball is weird game and anything can happen.  I expect we'll throw Huseboe.
