I need to correct misinformation I have previously posted when I said WHITEWATER'S 36 consecutive games winning streak broke the previous record held by Marietta and Aurora.

In 2008 Trinity College (Conn.) won the national championship finishing the season with a 45-1 record.  Their only loss came in the first game on championship day so their streak ended at 44 games.  They lost to John Hopkins who had beaten us 12-11 in the loser's bracket to advance to the championship. After losing the first game Trinity won the championship 5-4 on a base loaded walk.

My apologies for the error. When I goggled it that was the information provided. Another example of don't believe everything you read on the internet I guess.

That TrinityCT-JHU game was a classic!

Strange stat from the two games vs La Crosse...a combined 13 batters HBP.

Word on the street is that there will be another opening in the WIAC shortly as well...

Any leanings as to who may in the running for the Stout job? I have a few players looking at Stout as a option for their future baseball and academic interests.

Would UWSP be the school maybe making a change? Or would it be on the other end with a top-notch coach (UWW or UWL) moving up a level or two?
Baseball is not a game that builds character, it is a game that reveals it.

Ethan Winkler entering the portal, had decent stats for a freshman and I would assume would find a decent home.  That said, about the only people I would care about entering the portal for Point would be Drohner and Nystrom.  Winkler won't be the last departure I would also assume.

If Richter is back next year, his seat is lava hot.  He better get it turned around in a hurry.

A very good draw for the WIAC.

Whitewater and La Crosse drawn a apart from each other. Which is really the first time it's happened under this format. There's been a WIAC Super Regional basically every year. First time under this format two teams could make the World Series.

Supers 2025 UWW vs UWO, 2024 UWW vs UWL, 2023 UWL vs UWSP, 2022 UWW vs UWSP, 2019 only UWW made the tournament.

It could've happened last year too...  La Crosse hosted their own Regional, went 2-0 to advance to the Regional Championship and then lost two straight to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Sunday to miss out on a Super Regional bid where they would've faced Endicott.  Endicott ended up knocking off CMS in two straight and advanced to the World Series.
