Huge get for the Pointers....6'5" guard/forward Luke Zuiker following in his father's footsteps and playing for UWSP.  He is ranked 22nd in the state of Wisconsin Senior Player Rankings....highest ranked kid not going to a scholarship school.  He's a very good shooter and slasher, just will need to get stronger.

Grant Erickson, Falcon freshman, had the BEST assist to turnover ratio in ALL DIVISIONS of the NCAA the past season. I doubt that has ever happened before. Congratulations to him!

MESSAGE TO RECRUITS:  IN DOUBT? ENROLL AT STOUT. DON'T CARE? GO TO EAU CLAIRE. AT A LOSS? TRY LACROSSE. FEELIN' OUTTA JOINT? YOUR PLACE IS POINT. DON'T LIKE THE REST? DO WHAT'S BEST!

GOT BALLS? PLAY FOR THE FALLS!

That it has never happened that a Division 3 player has had the best ratio in all divisions, I mean.

UW Superior has a transfer coming from Ripon college.  He led Ripon in assists and shot over 50% from the field over 40% from the three point line and over 90% from the FT line. Can you say Jerry who?

Skyler O'Laughlin a 6'11" post player out of Elkhorn who walked on and gained a spot in D2 Winona State's rotation has left the school.

Rumor has it that he will be transferring closer to home (UW-Whitewater?) ... I believe he has one year of eligibility left.

O'Laughlin played (and started) in 25 of Winona's 34 games - injured late in the season - averaged 6.9 ppg and 4.1 rpg while playing 16 minuted per game.

Good luck to WW as they try to become the first school in any division to win National Titles in Football, Basketball and Baseball all in the same school year.

And the crazy thing is they still probably won't will the Director's Cup... They were trailing Williams by 225 points before baseball, softball, La Crosse, Tennis, T&F, and womens Rowing.

Great year all around by that other Purple school from Wisconsin!

UWW also won the national title in women's gymnastics (for the third consecutive year), played in the women's bball FF, went to the softball world series, and finished third nationally in women's T&F, so the women ain't too shabby either!

Thats gonna take me awhile to get used to going to the Central Region board instead of the West Region board!

Since its a newly formed board, is the board on a 2-year provisional status?  ;D Are we eligible for post season play through Pool B?

Rumor has it that in order to remain competitive on an overall athletic basis, many more Midwest, or should I say Central, teams are considering adding field hockey, skiing, and, especially, squash to their athletic offerings.  ;)

At least the West Region board still exists. Imagine the frustration those of us who were used to clicking on the Midwest Region are currently experiencing.  :o
