Shooting 59% from the floor the WARHAWKS led for over 39 minutes in defeating Augustana 82-65 last night.  Augustana kept the game within 2-4 possessions for the first 13-14 minutes before the WARHAWKS took a double digit lead which grew to 18 points 49-31 by halftime.  Augustana would get to within 10 points early in the second half and 12 points later in the half but that's a close as it would get.  Derek Gray led all scorers with 22 points. Gage Malensek added 15 and 7 assists while Jack Brahm dropped 14.  Carter Capstran had his best night going 5-7 from the floor including a 3 pointer, 5-5 from the line, pulling down 7 rebounds and adding 2 steals and a block.

The WARHAWKS will travel to Atlanta, Ga. for games with Emory and LaGrange over the holidays.

Point's game at Willamette ppd because Point's flight got cancelled. Maybe if they come in tomorrow, they can play Wednesday. They already have games Thursday and Friday.

Thursday at Linfield now also postponed. Friday at Lewis and Clark still on right now.

Falcons' 2 games in Washington State canceled because of "travel concerns."

UWSP and Benedictine able to come together and schedule a game at the Quandt Saturday at 4pm. All fans admitted free.

Good wins for Stout, Platteville, and Oshkosh tonight in state. Whitewater upended in Atlanta.

La Crosse and Bethel tomorrow postponed to January 29th due to covid. Not sure what team. St. Mary's game feels like a long shot at this point.

That's good to hear. Losing 3 games out west is rough. A lot of games have been cancelled over the last week or two throughout D3. Hopefully the new year will bring everyone new luck.

West Allis Central 6'4" F, Josiah Gillie, has committed to UWSP.  From what I can gather on social media, looks like Stout, Oshkosh and Whitewater showed interest in Gillie from the WIAC.  Also, his commitment online shows a picture of him next to Canon O'Heron, Gillie looks about 6'2"...not anywhere around the 6'4"-6'5" I see him listed at.

Gillie was a first team All Conference pick as a sophomore in the Milwaukee City Conference when he played for Milwaukee Hamilton, very impressive for a tough conference like the Milwaukee City.  He averaged 14.8 a game as a sophomore for Hamilton and averages about the same this season for West Allis Central.

The WARHAWKS split in Georgia losing 91-70 to Emory before defeating LaGrange (Ga) 89-63.  The Emory game was decided early when they shot 57% in the first half and outscored the cold shooting (34%) WARHAWKS 52-27.  The final margin is as close as we would get in the second half.  Trevon Chislom's 15 points led the team.  Derek Gray chipped in 13.  Jack Brahm pulled down 7 rebounds to go with his 8 points.  Emory had a dude with 30 on 14-19 from the floor.

The table turned in game two.  This time it was the WARHAWKS who jumped out to a big half time lead (46-26) on 54% vs 25% shooting.  Gray led all scorers with 20 points and rounded out his stat line with 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks.  Both JT Hoytink and Brahm scored 16 points.  Brahm added 9 rebounds, 4 assists and a steal.  Rounding out double digit scorers were Jamaar Barker (13) and Chislom (10).  Elijah Lambert's 10 rebounds led the WARHAWKS who out rebounded LaGrange 56-32.

Next: Oshkosh on the road.  I hate that gym.

Congrats Coach Gard

Due to an incoming storm, Benedictine is unable to travel to UWSP and play tmw.  The added game has been cancelled.  UWSP can't catch a break between Covid issues and travel/weather issues.

SMH. Not to blame Benedictine at all...but as you said, can't catch a break.
