What WIAC newcomers played this weekend in the WBCA all-star game?

Who looked good and not so good?

HERE is the WBCA website.

According to the Point release, Nick Krull was selected to play in the all-star game.  He's listed on the D3 south roster, but didn't see his name in the box score.  Not sure what happened.

EDIT

Looking again, the rosters are 2007, but the stats look like 2006....

That's all from the Pointer side of things.

EDIT

I dug up Sunday's Milwaukee/Journal Sentinel because I remember seeing the boxscores in there as well.  Nick went 1 for 5 FGs (0-4 from 3) and 4 for 4 FTs for 5 points.

That's a pretty impressive box.  Except for shooting percentage.

Just noticed that he shot a bunch of threes.  Totally impressive box.

Stout survivor

Hello from Hilden Germany and a quick update for those interested

Had the Pro-Exposure camp last weekend and BDShootblocker had 14 pts and 10 rebs a game while Survivor had 19 pts and 7 rebs a game before twisting and ankle and sitting out one game then playing limited min the last one.  There was very good compitition at the center spot and it was fun to play in.

Here is the website for our agency for any further updates

I had this website bookmarked and checked in earlier this week.  It was obviously played last weekend, but no stats were up...so, I was thinking about you guys, but not in a gay way. lol :-)

Sounds like you guys were pretty effective.  Keep us up to date and maybe when I'm in Germany next time, I'll stop by and watch a game.  I'll be the Asian guy in the Rangers jacket! lol

Though it's still unofficial it looks like, in addition to conference games, the WARHAWKS' 2007-08 schedule will include hosting Milwaukee School of Engineering, North Park and Eureka in a November tourney and traveling to St Norbert for a tournament involving St Johns and Rockford College in December.  Also nonconference games at Carroll College, Olivet College and Luther College while Central State (OH) and Cardinal Stritch will play in WHITEWATER.

We will be a team, OS.  ;)

Check with your sources. Rumor has it that Whitewater may be adding North Central from the CCIW--I believe at Whitewater in late Dec or early Jan. Makes sense as UWW played in the Cardinals season opening tourney 2 years ago.
If true, was this game added to take the place of a cancellation in the original schedule?

According to UWP's website Colin Ruben a 6'5" 235 lb forward from Palos Hills, IL  and Stagg High School will attend Platteville.  From the looks of it P-ville is getting some front line help for Skemp to go along with the backcourt players that are returning.

Colin Ruben began his HS career at Downers Grove South who placed 3rd in the state in the largest schools class in 2005. I believe he may have played on the soph team as a frosh. He was elevated to the varsity in his soph season. Very shortly after his promotion, he was declared academically ineligible. I heard that a teammate, who was also a great student, set up a time to meet him in the library in order to help him with his studies. However, this appointment was not kept. This may have happened up to 3 times. He never regained his eligibility, which I believe at DGS can be done on a weekly basis. The next season found him at Stagg HS in Palos Hills, IL where he played for the last two years. Obviously, he remained eligible for those years, so maybe he has gotten his studies in order to the point where he will be able to stay on the floor and contribute. I saw him play a few times at Stagg and can verify he is a force and can score inside. He is also a tough rebounder. A basketball player in a football player's body. Good luck to him.

North Park

It's not listed on the NPU website, but the first game that the Vikings will play in the season-opening UW-Whitewater tourney is MSOE. The following night the Park will play either UWW or Eureka.

Maybe they play both.

It was mentioned to me that one game might change though I didn't think to ask whether that meant the opponent or the date.    Unofficially that's the schedule as it stands. ;)
