Stout picked up a late recruit.

Tyrel Creger, 6'2" out of Valley City State University. 13.1 ppg, 4 rpg, 3.5 apg.

Newcomer of the year.

I think he has one year of eligibility left.

Also went to Citrus College

...and Bay College

Wonder if all his credits transfer?

For WIAC and Division III new challenge replay rule seems like it won't translate to Division III. Not good enough cameras and and we'll just stay with the voluntary use by officials, 2 vs 3 and F1 vs F2 etc.

UW-Oshkosh schedule is posted. Non cons vs Saint John's, at IWU Sikma Tournament (x2), at Carroll, at Edgewood, vs Benedictine, at Calvin, vs Ripon, vs St. Norbert, vs Heidelberg, vs Lawrence.

So Oshkosh's schedule lists 3 weekend for the NCAA tournament with Fri/Sat the 1st two weekends and Thu/Sat for the "Final Four". Isn't the tournament format different with the Elite 8 and Final Four played at Fort Wayne and the Final played with the D2 Final and D1 Final Four this upcoming season?

Yeah obviously Oshkosh's site is incorrect about this.

Tyshawn Teague-Johnson has left UWSP and transferred to Whitewater.  I was extremely high on Teague-Johnson and think it's a huge loss for Point moving forward.  He got quite a few minutes as a freshman so seems weird to me for him to leave.  He's definitely going to help a Whitewater team next year.

Here's to hoping the UWSP coaching staff has a rabbit in their sleeve to replace him next year, that athleticism was impressive.

Did he get substantial NIL money from UWW?

What is your obsession with NIL money?  There isn't a post you make that doesn't include chicken coops or NIL money.

In reverse order, my family owns a chicken farm near Stevens Point so that is my livelihood. D3 basketball is my passion, although the Pointers have been a tough ride the past 5 years.

As for NIL, I have heard that UW-SP has some NIL money that got them both Miron and Butler. No idea how much. Pay for play is real in college sports. Does it make sense? No. Will it continue? I suspect so.

Is Tyshawn himself a good enough source?  He literally lists Whitewater basketball and going to UWW '28 on his page now.

I know the UWSP coaching staff is still recruiting for this upcoming season, but as it stands now...when you include you lost your best freshman to a rival, this class is underwhelming.

I don't see a reason anywhere in this post why you would continue to bring up NIL in all of your recent posts.  Unless you are literally in the inner circle of these players, nobody is going to know who gets what.  Do players get NIL money at the D3 level, absolutely.  It's not just at Point, it's everywhere.

Nil  :o  ;D  will be my posts about NIL until its closer to the season.

Hot week in WI means we keep watering the chickens aggressively.  We mist them near the outdoor area but they are smart enough to stay in when it gets near 90 and sticky.

Would love to offer tours but risks of disease are enhanced by strangers being in the pens.
