I will also miss Zorn arena, the most venerable of WIAC venues. Which homecourt now deserves that title? I would say Quandt or Bo Ryan Court.   

I think Quandt sucks, even though I am from Point.

Don't like the seating patterns. Then they added the end zone area to allow fans to drink alcohol...don't think they should do that, not necessary.  Its also got an extremely loud horn....hurts the ears.  Just my two cents worth.

I think Oshkosh (sheer size) and River Falls have nicest WIAC facilities....the new EC place looks great, too.

Johnson Fieldhouse got funding for a new floor and all new seating, which will really update the joint.
Easy place to get to and park.

Unlike Zorn Arena. Last time I was there was a couple years ago for my daughter's graduation. Thankfully it was a nice day to walk and be jammed in the box. In January for a night game, not such a great gig.

Former North Central(MN) 6'3" G, Ja'Shon Simpson, is transferring to La Crosse to finish his eligibility and play hoops.  Simpson was a 2nd Team UMAC All Conference Selection 2 seasons ago.

In the meantime, UW-Whitewater actually took down their schedule and Eau Claire posted their beginnings of their schedule last night, but have since taken it down. It included a game at Bethel for Blugolds on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.

I was at the Sentry World Sportscenter this weekend and some guy in the grill/bar there said the Pointers were going to be good this year and will be practicing/scrimmaging vs. the Wisconsin Herd.  Seems like this wouldn't be a fair fight but this guy has a Pointers MBB shirt and he hit the ball long and straight off the practice tee before the rains came and the day drinking began.

I recently came across another commitment for UWRF.  6'8" Sauk Centre(MN), Chad Herickhoff, will play basketball for the Falcons.

I also am almost positive I have found out who Coach Dernbach was talking about when he said there was another player enrolling at UWSP next semester that they are still waiting on clearance from the NCAA for.  That would be former Kewaskum/Kishwaukee CC/D2 Quincy 6'6" F Joshua Bocher.  Bocher had some impressive stats for 2 years while playing at Kishwaukee CC.  He also looked to be firmly in the rotation for D2 Quincy.  I have attached his bio from Quincy if you'd like to see his stats at his previous stops for yourself.
