OK. Which teams will win, place and show ? I will be a homer and take La Crosse to win. I will need to think about the other two spots.

You've got UWEC twice, at #2 and #7. I take it that you meant UWEC's next-door neighbor, UWRF, in seventh.

Too inconsistent, but obviously still won 10 games. Big wins vs Hardin-Simmons and Trinity give me hope.

WIACer

1. UWL- not a deep team. Foul trouble and off shooting night will cost them a couple games in WIAC.
2. UWEC- better than last year.
3. UWW - can shoot and play solid d
4. UWSP- same team as last year. Maybe less.
5. UWP- solid team. Lost a lot.
6. UWO- gimmick team. not sure what they have. rotating players like a hockey team. Maybe it's a new offense trend. Guess we will see. If it works they could move up to 3.
7. UWStout  Not much to say. They beat Il Wes.
8. UWRF- not much to say

Coe shoots 67% in the first half to the WARHAWKS 9-2 37% building a 19 point lead, 54-35.  The WARHAWKS cut the deficit to 13 in the second half. Tyshawn Teague-Johnson led the WARHAWK scorers with 13 in 23 minutes in his longest stint on the floor. Collin Madsun followed with 11.

For my two cents worth, the projected order of finish.  I'm not as up to date as many of you but see this as a year where three teams could get in the dance.  Perhaps wishful thinking.

Hope you are right about Pointers, will be some wild nights in the Quandt Beer Garden.  I am worried, though. Shaky at times so far.

Greek Tragedy

Point leads Eau Claire 35-33 at the half. Considering 3 of our starters have played 8 (Baumgartner), 7 (Combs) and 3 minutes (Butler), I'd consider that a win so far. Quick players have been a problem for us and we have 11 fouls while Eau Claire has just 4 fouls.

In typical Pointer fashion, they didn't make it easy, but pulled out a 78-75 win. They had a 71-61 lead with 1:25 to go, but Eau Claire had a chance to tie it but missed a 3 at the end. I believe Point went 7-10 from the line in that last 1:25. These wins are hard to celebrate when it takes so much out of you when they have a hard time closing the game out. However, I'll take the win.
