Heather probably will want to watch the Stout at LaCrosse game as AJ Uttech will probably be guarded by her other favorite, Carson Bauer.  Point will just have to wait for her to decide they're worth watching.

Picking a girl over the Pointers could be the end of you. And I thought you were a fan.

Greek, he already said "she has quiet hotness" so c'mon, how do the Pointers compete with that?

The guy has been hanging with chickens and not chicks up until recently.

Heather is a nice name.

I will not post pictures but this could be heaven sent. The Pointers have been a painful thing the past 4-5 years and I am optimistic that ship has turned.  If this continues so smoothly, I may be moving to Florida and learning how to sell and service copiers in the family business.

She asked me what the story was on Point and Uttech.  I really don't know, do you have any insights?

Go Dawgs.

All four favorites winners tonight. Three at home and Oshkosh picks up a win at Eau Claire.

Anyone looking at the score will see an easy 22-pt win by the hosts over a 1-4 River Falls team. Anyone who watched the game will realize it was anything but a cakewalk. For much of the game, River Falls was the better team, leading for most of the game. They hit the outside shots early and they rebounded really well. It wasn't until six or seven minutes left in the game that Point went on a huge run(28-5 or something like that) to put the game away. They finally hit some 3s and Grant Manz had a huge game. He's going to be needed with Krohn out for the year and Josh Bocher not playing tonight because of injury. No boxscore yet, which is weird, but maybe I'll go more in depth tomorrow. Really, a much needed win to stop the bleeding. Really would've been tough to lose this one at home with a trip to La Crosse this weekend considering what the Eagles have done to us the last 6+ years. We have a shot to finish the 1st half of the conference season 5-2.

We watched the Point game....wasn't pretty until late. Heather is patient and it paid off.

WIAC looking like a 2 bid league to me but those masters of NPI will keep us informed.

I appreciate everyone's concern about my focus on the chickens.....little did I know I was making a little more than $17.50 per hour when I was laboring there day and night. Keep grinding, it will be worth it.

I see its going to get really cold in Wisconsin this weekend. I like home games.

I made my way through a snow emergency to get to watch Platteville win over WW 70-60. Back and forth 1st half with about 5 minutes left in the half Warren picked up his 2nd foul. With Warren out Platteville took a 6 point lead into the locker room. Platteville's lead grew to 11 in the 2nd half. WW got it to with in 5 but they had to start fouling and Platteville made their free throws. The big difference was in the paint WW had no answer for Fuhremann and Hettinger. While Platteville won the game the real winner was "Garding Against Cancer" over $4,000.00 was raised for area Cancer Coalitions and Cancer Research.

As mentioned earlier, Point really struggled to stop anything River Falls was doing in the 1st half. The visitors shot 6-10 from 3 and 16-31 overall for a slim 2 point lead at the break. Point did shoot 50% but their 3-10 continued their horrible shooting from beyond the arc that has plagued them all year.

To start the 2nd half, it was more of the same as River Falls held the slim lead through the first 7-8 minutes of the game. Frustration was definitely sinking in. However, Point took a brief 2-pt lead at 58-56 before the Falcons tied it. From there on, something clicked and Point finished the game on an incredible 28-6 run in the last 12:10 to run away with a 86-64 win. River Falls finished just 5-16 from the field in the 2nd half, including 3-10 from 3.

Point, on the other hand, went 17-30 (8-14 from 3) after halftime. The star of the game was Grant Manz, playing extended minutes, and a start, with Josh Bocher out with an injury and the long term injury to Cal Krohn. Manz scored 10 in the 1st half and finished with 17. He also contributed 4 rebounds, 3 steals, two blocks and 7 assists! Baumgartner lead Point with 20 and Josiah Butler added 17. Miron chipped in with 11.

It was a huge win for Point that stopped a 2-game skid with a game at La Crosse this weekend.
