He went 1 for 2 then got fouled again and hit two more.  I think.  I was back and forth and didn't see the in between.  The last one was definitely two shots, though - it was a drive to the basket.

The 1 for 2 was off a flagrant foul 2, which also gave the ball to the Devils.
Correct on the foul shots via drive. Oshkosh had 5 seconds to work with that resulted in a long shot at the buzzer that missed.

Greek Tragedy

Point falls at La Crosse 80-77. They had a 69-62 lead with about 6 minutes to go. La Crosse was up 75-74 with less than a minute to go. La Crosse missed a 3, but they got the rebound and, of course, they made the Pointers pay by hitting their 2nd chance opportunity. Josiah Butler was fouled on a 3-pt attempt and made all 3 FTs to cut the lead to 1 with 6 seconds to go. Point fouled right away and La Crosse hit both FTs. Butler turned it over to end it.

Tough loss considering Oshkosh and Platteville both lost. I would've felt great going into the 2nd half of the conference season at 5-2 instead of 4-3. Point just 1-3 on the road. Everyone plays Wednesday and then has the weekend off, which again, is ridiculous.

Mayhem in the WIAC. I can't believe we are back in the hunt. Fun games in any case.

palum

River Falls jumped out to an early lead and expanded it to 13 at halftime. Platteville was unable to get anything going in the 2nd half. River Falls wins by 18. A strong game by River Falls big man and Platteville's lack of 3pt shooting was the big difference.

Sorry, missed this. In my opinion, a little of both. Point seemed to play a lot harder on the defensive end, and yes, RF did miss shots they made in the 1st half.

I will summarize Heather and my thoughts after watching H2 of the Oshkosh game and the Point game:

1) Uttech was really good for Stout, especially driving in the paint, would have really helped Point if he was still there,
2) The officials at Oshkosh were really bad. Flagrant foul seemed excessive and the illegal screen rule only worked vs. Titans; crowd increasing displeasure was obvious on the stream,
3) Heather can be very distracting during games. I guess I'll have to watch the replays again without her.

EC lost to WW, last minute was brutal; amazing season demise for them.  Maybe the early ratings were biased by many wins over weaker teams.

Hard for a 6'8" guy to block the shot of a smaller player from behind, using both arms, and get a flagrant without a tremendous acting job by the player fouled. But the refs got to be the center of the show, going to the monitor, and you knew the result before they announced it. Then they called another foul on the FT rebound which was not readily evident.  Have to go watch all this again.

Just watched it again, Rindflesch ran from behind and blocked the shot as he ran by, hitting the player's arms and the ball. No head or face.  Stout player writhed in pain on the baseline. Acting was superb, Masters in Theatre earned.

Watching UWO in previous games I was surprised at how many illegal screens they were allowed to do without a call. I noticed on their ball screens they all have a 2 hand push off defender. Enough to knock off balance. Maybe it caught up to them?? Missing 3's hurts too.
