EauClaire: 76
WARHAWKS: 83 OT

There were fifteen lead changes and six ties in a closely contested game.  EC took it's largest first half  lead (7) with :40 seconds remaining but Jake Quast's three cut it to four 35-31 at the buzzer.  EC continued with the lead, building it to a second half high of 10, 47-37, in the first four minutes before the WARHAWKS began to chip away and took their first second half lead 65-64 on a Brock Marino layup with a little over two minutes.  After EC regained the lead on their next possession Marino sank a jumper in the lane and the WARHAWKS led 66-65. After that the WARHAWKS, clinging to a one point lead, would miss 4 of 5 free throw attempts while EC would miss a pair of shots and turn the ball over until EC's Ron Demovsky, was fouled with :03 remaining and sank both free throws  sending it into overtime 67-67. The first four minutes of overtime featured a pair of ties and six lead changes before Issac Vergas sank a pair of free throws and the WARHAWKS finished 6-6 from the charity stripe.  Marino finished with a 19/10 double-double while Madson added 17 and Quast 14 off the bench.

Quote from: WIACer on January 25, 2026, 12:18:42 PMWatching UWO in previous games I was surprised at how many illegal screens they were allowed to do without a call. I noticed on their ball screens they all have a 2 hand push off defender. Enough to knock off balance. Maybe it caught up to them?? Missing 3's hurts too.
Here I figured it was just the "gimmick offense" finally catching up to them...  :o

The gimmick is working. Wouldn't change a thing.

Heather likes the Titan game style so I am "all in" on the gimmicks.  Of course she has a bit of a crush on Imig and Kangas, that is of some concern.

Big game in Quandt Wednesday. Hope the Pointers get their act together for this one. Won't be back to meet the chicken farm buyers until late March so I will have to get my Point beer shipped to Florida.

Can someone with closer ties to the Point staff tell me what happened that such a great player like Uttech would be lost?  He is effective and the stats prove it.  Would Point argue they didn't need him?

Don't worry about the Pointers. You'll be too busy watching Uttech and Stout and Kangas and Oshkosh with your girlfriend to be concerned about what happens at Quandt.

Looking more and more like the WIAC champion will have at least 5 losses.  After a surprisingly poor conference start, LaCrosse right back in the mix.  Personally I think we'll have at least two co-champions.  The winner(s) will be the one(s) that can win on the road.  With the league carnage, very doubtful more than 2 teams make the D3 tourney.
