Greek Tragedy

Madness in Platteville. PL up 76-75. Metcalf-Grassman turns it over with 25 seconds left. Then Bristol Lewis turns it over with 18 seconds left. LaChapell misses a 3, gets his own rebound and misses a bunny for the lead. Fuhremann is fouled but misses the FT. Metcalf-Grassman gets the rebound, misses the contested layup with 4 seconds left, but in the scrum for the rebound, Jonah Rindleisch gets fouled with less than a second left. All of this and still down 76-75, Oshkosh a chance to tie or win it at the line but Rindfleisch misses both FTs and Platteville escapes.

Eagles hanging on by their fingernails as Platteville visits Saturday. Time for this squad to reach it's potential, which is overdue.

I guess I shouldn't call the kettle black or whatever the saying is, but I wouldn't be complaining too much. LX started out 1-4 and now they've won 4 in a row. Instead of losing close games, they're winning close games. Winning at Whitewater is not easy. You finish with 4 out of 5 games at home and a game back of 1st. I'd be pretty happy right now if I was an Eagles fan.

It was a long minute. A injury timeout for an Oshkosh player added to the time. It looked like he landed  on his arm or elbow. Any word on if he is alright. Great win for Platteville add to it that the PLatteville Women beat previously unbeaten Oshkosh. As Platteville's previous Chancellor used to say "it's a great day to be a Pioneer."

Point game was a should win and they did.

We watched the stream of the Platteville/Oshkosh game this morning over coffee before Heather went to work. I let her speak...she feels the refs lost control of that game.  Above end of game scenarios aside, that isn't what we've got to contribute.

She absolutely hates Jeff Gard working them so hard right from the opening whistle and when Rindflesch was clearly hit in the face later second half, and the game is stopped and it's reviewed, no flagrant gets called?  This league has a problem to deal with, how can this be their decision?  I saw an anger in Heather this morning I've not seen.

If I was Matt Lewis I would start being very vocal. He's too nice of a guy to make a foolish scene like Jeff Gard does. If Dernbach acts like Gard I will dress him down too. When Miller (forgot his first name) left Whitewater I thought all the jerks were gone, guess not. Win at all costs isn't acceptable here. NPI doesn't measure that, unfortunately. Eye test pretty bad from this vantage point.

If a coach shouted the F bomb multiple times trying to engage his fan base would you say he looked foolish and dress him down?

LaCrosse: 68
WARHAWKS: 65

Seventeen ties and thirteen lead changes later Derousseau hits a three pointer with 1.8 seconds remaining giving the Eagles the win. Collin Madson ended a rebound short of a double-double with 19 points and 9 rebounds. Issac Vergas added 18 points and 8 rebounds. Free throws were the difference. The Eagles went 23-34 on 27 WARHAWK fouls while the WARHAWKS were 17-22 on 19 Eagle whistles.

This was about berating referees. Nothing else.

Ok, shouting the F bomb to rally your supporters isn't foolish and you wouldn't dress them down.  Thanks for clearing that up.

I can't see the connection nor am I in the stands behind his bench. If he said LFG you can find that everywhere in today's dialogue; whether you approve or not is your call.

The WIAC needs to embolden officials to penalize coaches immediately who are overexuberant in their efforts to change calls, interfere, etc.
